I've rented many uhaul trucks lately and this is the one and only facility that has a cleaning/disinfectant station outside that customers can witness the trucks being cleaned and disinfected. I would definitely use this facility again.

The entire experience, minus the location, was completely horrible and I would never recommend uhaul as a company to anyone. I have never been more inconvenienced by of a company's negligence in my life. The location was clean, one employee (amanda?) was friendly, the others were not. The truck was not in great shape mechanically. I am very dissatisfied and will recommend people use a different company.
There were errors in my charges. One of them was fixed but the other one wasn't. The issue was whether I brought the vehicle back with a 1/4 tank full. Their customer service said it was less than 1/4 full and charged me not only for the extra 1.3 gallons of gas but slapped on a $30 fuel fill-up service fee. I was careful to fill up the tank to at least 1/4 and the photo I uploaded when I returned the vehicle showed that it was 1/4 fuel. She claimed that it was because the photo was taken at â€œan angleâ€. I have concerns about the service that I received in that respect: 1. The clerk who checked me in mentioned a $4 per gallon fee for gas but never once said there was also a $30 extra charge. Customer service, in insisting that the charge was accurate, referred me to the fine print in the contract, but the check in clerk should never have provided misleading information knowing fully well that I wasn't going to take the time to start studying the contract to confirm the veracity of his statements in the 4 hours rental time that I was allocated. 2. I was surprised that customer service would quibble over charges for 1.3 gallons and, rather than give the customer the benefit of the doubt and waive the charge, risk losing a future customer. 3. I don't know what the service charge would be for considering the next customer is the one that is given the responsibility to fill up the tank, as I was when I picked up the car at 1/4 full. 4. The customer is not given much direction at the outset about how the rental works or how to return the car. You are supposed to figure this out by checking online instructions upon returning the vehicle while sitting in a dark car park. 5. On the plus side, when I called for information before making my online reservation, customer service took the time to help me figure out what size vehicle I should rent.
The mileage calculation on the odometer is not great. Every half mile is registered as one mile ,the odometer system is adjusted to take extra money from the customer. I will campaign a video on YouTube how U-haul charges extra money by adjusting the odometer. And I will never recommend for nobody.

This U-Haul location is nothing short of amazing customer service.
Nothing service was great
The battery died on the truck and we had to f he eat a jumpstart.
They had moving and storage on their signs but didn't have storage available so I had to pay to go to a separate storage place up the street which cost me over 100.00. I am very unhappy
Although this was a convenient location, I really wish our experience was better. We were not told or warned about the double pricing should we return the equipment after closing. Had we known, we would have returned the truck before the office closes. U-Haul really need to tell customers about price changes or penalties and such. If I can avoid doing business with U-Haul in the future, I will definitely do so since this is not the first time this same thing has happened.
The customer service personnel at this location couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. They were a joy to deal with. JC
The manager had a new team but theu took great care of us!
I dealt with 2 employees. The first (Alison?), was very nice, helpful, and professional. However, when I returned the van she turned the check out process over to a young man. He was exceedingly rude. I returned the van early, and with more gas in it than when I picked it up. He insisted on charging me a fuel surcharge anywY, even after I showed him the mileage and my fuel receipt. He said that he acknowledged that I had overpaid for gas, but he he was leaving the charge on my bill. I said :I just demonstrated that I put more gas in it then I used, and you're charging me anyway?" His exact response was "Yeah, pretty much". I don't care about the $6. I DO care about getting deliberately ripped off and disrespected. I will never use this location again. I frequently rent from Enterprise right up the street, and have always had a smooth transaction. I'm sticking with them from now on.
My customer experience with Amanda was Awsome! Very nice and pleasant to work with. I would recommend this location to anyone, and please ask for Amanda ðŸ˜Š!!!
The truck did not have an ice scraper for the windshield the window was frosted and the ice scraper would have been helpful
Both the manager Amanda and service representative Anthony were extremely friendly and efficient when assisting me with my rental today. The truck was ready upon arrival, cleaned, with a full tank of gas. Amanda and Anthony made it a truly great experience and I will use this location when I need a rental in the future. Rent me a van for 4 hrs at a better deal.
I gave this location an average rating because they were able to get me a truck. But, I will never rely on UHaul Company again. I reserved a 20 ft truck two weeks before my move. I arrived at my selected location (Hampden) at 7:30 am - my scheduled pick up time. There was no truck for me as they rented it out from under me the night before. Other people came in after me and drove off with trucks, but nothing could be done for me bc â€œmy truckâ€ still had not been returned. It was 10/31 so there were no trucks available virtually anywhere. About an hour and a half after my scheduled pick-up, I was told I'd have to go to Catonsville where The person that rented my truck decided to dump it. So I drive over there. Wait in another line (outside in the cold bc of COVID) all to find out there was no truck. And the Uhaul reps there did not care at all. After I got inside and explained what was going on, the guy working the desk basically put me off to the side and ignored me. After 20 min of just standing there and realizing this guy is not going to do anything, I call the manager at Hampden (who was the only one working to make the situation right) and he says he's found me a 15 foot truck in Owings Mills. I'm now over 2 hours behind with movers (I'm paying hourly) waiting for me to arrive. I get to Owings Mills and I'm told they have no trucks available. Of course they don't. It's the last day of the month. I start to lose it and suddenly they have a truck, which I appreciate. But the millennial processing the rental is totally insensitive to the situation and treats me like he's doing me a favor by giving me his employee discount on the rental. Then he tells me I have to drive the truck back to Owings Mills as soon as I finish (suggesting that night) which is an hour from my destination WHEN I RESERVED A ONE WAY RENTAL and was supposed to be able to drop it off locally. I ended up starting my move 3 1/2 hours late. I Lost my movers and had to scramble to get last minute help, which cost me 3x as much. Complete fail UHaul. The whole ordeal ruined what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life - moving into the new home I just purchased. Thanks.
One of the tires ended up needing more air
I am not sure there is anything this location can do to improve. Staff went above and beyond my expectations (they are high) to provide me with the best experience and top quality product i have had.
The manager here was INCREDIBLE! He was so helpful and made the experience as easy as could be. Earlier in the morning, I had gone to get a truck at the Uhaul BP slade location and had the worst experience with the manager there, who refused to give me the van I ordered or the furniture dolly and furniture blankets I ordered (it was pouring rain) So, I went to the Owings Mills location all prepared for another bad experience, but instead, I had the BEST possible experience! The manager had the van available and ready when I got there, the dolly, blankets, and the furniture dolly. THANK YOU!!!
