You will lose loyal customers to Discount who offer unlimited kilometres for the same day rental. I discovered that I paid In excess of $100 for the U-Haul vehicle compared to an equivalent Discount vehicle. The staff were very pleasant and courteous except for a very surly man who seemed to be in charge of the outside lot.

Worst service ever first time ever useing U-Haul and definitely my last time was set an appointment at 9am Sunday for wireing for a trailer to only find out Sunday there is no installer working sundays was sold a harness and told to hook it up my self in the parking lot wile it was pouring rain at 10 degrees this whole incident also set me back on my trip 3 hours would not recommend to anyone and will never use this service again

The windows were left down in the truck I rented, and the seats were soaking wet. The agents at the counter were not friendly, and made me feel threatened because I did not take the Uhaul Insurance. I work for an Insurance Company and I know what I am covered for. When I mentioned this to the person I was dealing with she said that I was wrong, and still tried to push the extra insurance. They were always nice to me on the phone, but face to face at this location they suck. If it wasn't for the location being as close to me as it is, I would likely never go back

I had booked a pickup truck but it was returned late by the other customer and was not available so I took a van, which was brand new. Check-in and out was very simple. Recommended.

Apparently Uhaul has old obsolete computer systems, employees cant do their jobs and the manager hides in his little corner office. dysfunctional at best. Obviously there is a lack in management and support of staff. Probably underpaid as well. Charge me a bit more and pay them better and make your system work

This location is in desperate need of more customer parking. While it may not seem like it in normal hours, at 8 am when everyone is picking up their uhaul, its total mayham as everyone trips over one another to get into the parking go to the counter and leave with their truck.

Not all reserved equipment was on hand; the manager said too bad, it’s first come first serve. My reservation was made over 2 weeks before my rental date and reserved items not being available seems to just be a fact of life for UHaul. Overall it was an average experience.

I did not get the truck that I reserved, had to settle for a smaller truck, and as a result, had to pay an additional $125 in storage fees. Lost time and money, with no compensation or apology from UHaul. Totally unacceptable

I had a reservation for truck rental at 9 a.m. for a move within Ottawa on Sunday, Oct 1st and arrived just before nine to get the truck. There was a long line at the check in counter and only two employees serving customers. Each customer took 10-15 minutes to process and I ended up waiting a full two hours for my truck. My friends who were helping me move were waiting at my house and had to wait for over an hour and a half. I think it is very unreasonable to make your customers wait that long, considering many will need to meet movers or friends helping them with their moves. Many fellow customers were becoming angry and calling other rental companies to see if they had trucks available. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes at any other Uhaul rental location, and will never use the Coventry Road outlet again. Once I was finally processed, I had to wait while another staff member swept my truck and inflated its tires. This should have been done beforehand. When I returned the truck that evening, there was no room in the parking lot and trucks were parked haphazardly on the grass. The only spot for my truck was on the grass with several feet on the rear of the truck projecting out over the sidewalk, and posing a danger to pedestrians.

Got to this location at 6:50am (opens at 7:00am) and got my truck at 9:20am Saturday morning. Only one lane opened and another one for the "express lane". It took on average between 12-15mins for each customer. When I left at 9:20, I could see at least 30 people waiting in line and another 25 in the express check out lane. This is unacceptable and got charged a full day. U-Haul Contract 92448218

I had a 1-way rental and was supposed to return the truck to the Trainyards location but the gate was closed off and their answering machine was full. I called up the Coventry location, they were very helpful and took back my return. I also noticed that they hold a large inventory of supplies and i would definitely go to this location again.

Check each vehicle before allowing a customer to rent. The vehicle I got had warped rotors and when you applied the brakes, the vehicle shook like hell. Also, there was no oil in the engine. I had to go buy oil for the damned truck

I waited in line for over 2 hours to get my rental. It was Saturday night at the end of the month, however, there was such a lineup and processing was going very slow. This is very common when I visit this location. There seems to be very little foresight into staffing and peak times of the day/month.

Placed order three weeks in advance. The truck was ready and clean, but the car dolly was not. There were two car car dollies and neither of them were ready to take. The dolly needed tail light repairs , which they started after I showed up for the rental. After failing to fix the first one, they decided to change the tire on the second one. Total time spent waiting for equipment was 2hours.

The express pick up was a disaster. We waited in line for 2 hours before finally leaving the lot with our truck that we booked 2 months in advance. This was a huge issue as we had our moving helpers waiting around during this time. Overall this was a very poor experience as the location was extremely disorganized and ill prepared to manage the level of business that they had. We will not use uhaul again in future as a result of the poor service.

It was a very busy day, understandably so. However there were a few issues: - the online checking in feature was not working even though I had chosen that option. That was upsetting. And none of the staff seemed to know anything about what the issue was. I think all staff members should be trained on answering all questions (including the ones taking care of the cars outsaid who are the first point of contact for most people). - there were no signs or staff members to explain to customers the difference between the regular line up and the express line up. Once in a blue moon a staff member would make an announcement (in an aggressive manner). Most customers had to speculate which line they should be in. - there was one staff member dedicated to the express line and 2 to the regular line and both lines was the same length and the express was barely moving. Made no sense. The express line should just be dismantled and everyone should stand at any line and they should be moving at similar rates. - there was no symptathy from staff members about how long people stood in line. Some customers got sent to the end of the other line up after being in one line up for a long time just out of the staffs disorganization. - one staff member told customers he didn't care about how long people stood in line for if they stood in the long line (even though the instructions were not clear). - wait times was over 2 hours to get a truck (whether express or not or wether you could self pick up or not). Adding more stress to the beginning of what would become a busy and tiring day. This is unacceptable. -Terrible experience this time around.
