The lot was crowded with no designated places to park while picking up the truck. I was not given a walk-around of the truck or the opportunity to do an inspection. The drop-off process was very easy however and the staff friendly.

When a reservation is updated by customer service, Make sure that all changes details are communicated to customer. The agent who changed my reservation to get me better rate, failed to mention that the reservation time is changed from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. I had to wait for an hour and a half for my truck in cold Canadian weather. This delay, shifted my move plans!!

Employees very rude to customer. Guy in the back didn’t know how to fix the light in trailer so i did it for him. Returned the trailer and they call me the next day to tell me they couldn’t find the trailer. The guy up front been there for too long and don’t care anymore.. I will not recommend this place. Please take 2 minutes and check the google reviews...they are pretty accurate..

We had an unpleasant experience rending a truck with U-HAUL. They told us on the spot that they need to call someone to confirm our identity. We were not told that when we reserved so we can tell someone that you will be getting a call when we are rending a UHAUL. The experience was awful. Our contact either did not answer or thought it was a scam. You need to warn renters that this is the procedure and also explain to the renter why this is needed as it is still does not make sense to me. I would honestly not rent or recommend for any person to rent a truck with UHAUL.

Parking on site would be preferred. As well, our truck was missing a gas cap and some of the panel instruments were not in working order. Employees weren’t rude, but didn’t seem happy to work there, but again not rude as I had no issues with them. Price was really fair for our use as needed. Winter tires would have been great as well since we are in Ottawa and did get struck in the driveway leaving. I get your hauling from Arizona, but let’s get with the program when we are dealing with places that have winter. I would rent again because of the price and availability of trucks at most locations. All in all my experience was fair given the pros and cons.

I had prepared my contract for express check out. when I got there this cash nhad been closed so I waited in line with the rest. I finally got to thecheck and the machine would not accept my signature. finally after 20 minutesw I was checked in. I went outside to get my vehicle and the guy out there told me it was the third vehicle in a certain row.I retreived my own vwhicle but could not open the door because it was parked too close to another vehicle so I entered through the passenger door ,climbed over the seats and started the vehicle. the passenger side of the cab had a drink spilled all over the floor and the middle seat.... When I returned the vehicle after the day again there was no one there to accept the vehicle. after about five minutes I went inside but the clerk told me to see the guy outside. I looked and waited for about another five minutes but to no avail. I left the keys and contract on the front seat and left as it was cold and windy. I used your service about a month ago and was very satisified with the outcome however this time I am a very disapointed client.

The customer service was quite good but my husband had to take two ubers to get to and from. Next time I would check to see if there are any rental companies that offer pick up or drop off services. Also the total cost with gas was around $100 for a two hour rental. A little pricey!

Not enough staff, had to wait 45 minutes for pick up (even after pre-registration online and using the express line). Staff outside rude, not willing to guide you backing up in a overcrowded parking lot when you are not used to maneuver big trucks. Parking lot was also very icy and not well cleared up. I got stuck trying to turn the truck around and had to have two customers push me (both of them also had a very bad experience and we all saying that we would never go back). When I came back I had to wait over half an hour to return the rental. Ridiculous policy where they have to call and talk to your contact reference. What is the added value to that? RIDICULOUS! Terrible experience overall, will never go back. Staff were trying their best but they were overwhelmed and not set up for success, feel bad for them.

the truck had many issues which I communicated to the branch, however I was basically told that there were no issues, so indirectly accused of lying. I have called numerous times to discuss this but the intention from u-haul management has been careless. I also offered to come down and drive the truck with the manager and again no response. I have been driving and renting trucks/vans out for over 10 years and this is by far the worst experience.

DId not have the vehicle requested. No representive called to advise. As such the vehicle was suppose to be a 9' cargo van and they had to give us a 15' truck. Because of the size and uncomfortableness in driving was forced to take insurance which would not have been needed with the cargo van, we spent more in gas and items were damaged during transport as there was so much extra room that things shifted around. Very unhappy with UHaul and will not recommend at this point.

1.5 hour wait and the trailer couldn’t be pulled out. Express check in - not here ? Had to drive back to house as movers were waiting. Paid them for an extra hour due to U-Haul incompetence. Had to return and puck up trailer. Another hour wasted as the yard guys couldn’t figure out which trailer to use and has to redo contract. Total travel 3 hours. So 4.5 hours of day wasted thanks to U-Haul

Really long wait times. One of the workers john kept yelling at coworkers over the walkie talkie. Other customers were upset as well. I had my truck booked for 9am, waited in the "express " line till almost 10am. The truck was supposed to have 1/4 tank of gas, barely had 1/8th. I got a gas credit which john refused to give me upon return even though it was at 1/4 when i brought it back. Such a disappointing experience.

My car was not ready when I went for a 9am pick up. There was a car parked in front of the truck I was renting. The truck was covered in snow and the bed of the truck was also full of snow. My mattress got soaked on the way home.

The pick-up process was chaotic, and the lot was too small for the number of people coming and going, and the number of vehicles in the inventory. It took me an hour to have my "express" order processed, and another half-hour to get it off the lot because a U-Haul employee was parked behind it, and because the lot was so covered in snow that I kept getting stuck in trying to back out of the spot it was parked in. The staff were very pleasant, but nonetheless I'll avoid this rental location in the future.

Very poor service today. Even though I pre-checked in, there was about 15-20 people waiting for trucks this morning and it took about 45min to check in/get keys at the counter. Then none of the trucks were brushed off from snow and I was given a stick to do it myself. Then the trucks were stuck in snow/ice in the yard and we couldn’t get them out without spinning tires. There were no employees around to help. Nice other renters also were stuck and tried helping out to no avail. When we finally tracked an employee down to ask about salt/sand they answered they couldn’t provide any for us. When we asked if we could use a box from inside to put under the tires to give traction on the ice, we were told we would have to pay for them. It took another 45 mins after getting the keys to even get the truck out of the U-Haul lot. Then we discovered they have no snow tires. I would definitely consider NOT renting a U-Haul again for pure safety reasons. It shouldn’t be the paying customers responsibility to physically push the truck off of the lot, nor did I feel safe driving a truck on the roads when the tires had no traction.
