I reserved a van. When I got there to pick up my reservation no van was available. Ended up with 15 foot vehicle. Took me 30 minutes to find it in the yard.

You charge clients for filling truck with gas plus an administrative fee but today I only had 1/4 of a tank of gas. Truck should all a full when we pick up.

I waited almost an hour at the location. There were a few clients in front of me and the employee was helping someone at the counter. However, the employee at the counter was alone and help came later. He could have called someone to help him. There was also a gentleman waiting that kept calling that location and he was put on hold many times. The employee was alone but did not deal with any phone calls he received and put them on hold. The employee in the yard was kind and helpful with connecting the trailer and making sure that the lights worked. Return process was simple. Because the drop off area is on a slope, the trailer was rolling backwards once unhooked from my truck. I asked the employee if there were wheel chocks and he said somewhere. I suggested to find them and he insisted that he’d be okay holding the trailer but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I ended up standing on the tongue while the employee got a piece of broken concrete to put behind the wheel. Although I understand that he didn’t have access to proper equipment and it wasn’t his fault, the location should ensue that there’s access to wheel chocks. There was also nothing that the employee could use to safely put the trailer back to where it belonged in the yard. He told me he had to do it by hand which is unsafe as he’s alone and the trailers are heavy.

We had rented from the Vanier location earlier this month as well and had a horrible experience. Dirty place. Mouthy people. Promised one thing, got another. We were actually afraid to order again from U-Haul. But we were pleasantly surprised. The Innes Road office, the pickup was amazing. People were amazing. The truck was amazing and brand spanking new. We had a lengthy drive and we were comforted to know the truck would not have any mechanical issues.

It took 30 minutes to process 3 persons before me. Although I had done all the preregistration in advance online it still took nearly 10 minutes to proceed with my order before having to wait again for someone to direct me to my trailer. The equipment is great but customer service is terrible.

Computer kept crashing. The check in was lengthy despite the fact i did express online. No stickers given to indicate damage. Did have someone help with hitch. Large inventory. Nice staff.

The wait time here is brutal. Every time I pick up I wait close to an hour. Every weekend short stuff only one agent runs the front desk. The stuffs are great but the wait time unrealistic. Just today I waited 45 min and every one in the line start yelling at the poor guy at the counter which is not his fault. It could improve the wait time and will be one of the best place.

Everything else is good except the wait time. It’s absolutely brutal every weekend I spend at least 2 hours of my valuable time just to rent a truck or drop off. Definitely need to have two at the counter that is fast and knowledgeable.

Employee at front desk was willing to see if they had a different vehicle from the one I originally requested. It made a world of difference for me so I wouldn’t have to make multiple trips. I would say it was a little slow but I’m sure that’s not something they could control as it seemed there was a lot going on but not a lot of staff to help sort out the situation. Overall, staff were friendly, helpful and competent.

I was the 3rd customer in line at the opening of the location at 7 am and it took 35 min to get my trailer...unacceptable client service. Only one employee at 7 am on a Saturday??? The guy in front of me got the keys for his truck rental at 7:15 and was still there when I left since the truck in front of his rental didn't start and we was boxed in... On top of that either the employee didn't know how to use the computer or the uhaul online system was causing errors...not impress

The guy at the front desk was not helpful at all. He refused to set a pick up location for us and then made us “call around”. Also the insurance policy is a joke. We picked the location that was closest to us and they changed the location and then made us pay the extra fee to drive an extra 20 minutes to pick up the truck. Glad you asked for my review. Glad to share how awful U-Haul is with my friends!

There are too many questions above my tow vehicle’s tow capacity, visa needed to reserve, phone number, on arrival license needed, name of emergency contact, capturing visa again, car license number. On hook up had to verify and sign off on trailer, attendent did it afterwards, checked lights, initialed forms. On return trailer verification by me and attendant. Had to test all trailer lights again. This all takes too long and is not very client friendly. Otherwise everything ok.

Its a construction site. Poor signage, need to enter via a door that says "exit only". Smells really bad. They don't have a phone or computer so paperwork was on hard copy, and they didn't know about my reservation over the phone (what a waste of time).

Have the truck ready. I had to go and find the truck in the yard, and was advised - if it is the middle of the pack, let us know and we will either get it out or assign another vehicle.

My original pick-up location in Stittsville could not offer the truck I had requested. I had to call the uHaul number to check if the truck requested was available at another nearby site. Why couldn't the first location check for me? In the end I rented truck from nearby site and they added on distance to the contract for the inconvenience.

I am very disappointed. The employee at the desk advised me to put at least 50 liters of gasoline in the truck before the move for an estimated 80 km move. I naively did so, and ended up buying way to much gasoline! I spent $78 of gasoline for a 80 km total distance, when I should of only put $30. I complained to the employee when I returned the truck rental and was told that he would take my name and phone number, and talk to his manager. Big surprise, nothing happened. I was billed the full amount and was not compensated for the extra gasoline I bought for no reason. I've never driven a 26 footer before, and I was told they are gas guzzlers. So I listened to the employee thinking they knew what they were talking about and wanted to be safe. Well they don't! Do not trust them. They are not very knowledgeable when it comes to fuel consumption of their trucks...I will never rent a U-haul truck again, and I will most definitely not recommend this location to a friend. I'm really not happy.

Gas was at 1/8 on the gas gauge...would rather have a full tank and return vehicle full. This would prevent going to the gas station twice and trying to figure out how much to put in to replace used fuel
