We didn't get a call from U-HAUL the day before we moved on Sunday, and then when we went to pick it up, the woman was VERY rude, and said she didn't have our truck there. She said someone should have called me to tell me it was 45 minutes away from where we were supposed to pick it up. We said that was unacceptable because we never got a phone call, and it would be an hour-and-a-half trip just to pick up the truck that was supposed to be at THAT pick-up station, and she said, "I don't know what to tell you, it's not here. If they didn't call you, that's our bad, but I can't do anything about it." We asked her if there were any else in town that we could pick up, and what are we supposed to do because we're on a time crunch, and she rudely said, "Drive to Fergus." And so we called headquarters to see if there was any place closer that we could pick it up (after she sent us away), and then while we were on the phone with headquarters for 25 minutes, she came up to us and said, "Oh, I just realized your truck is actually here." And she moved some trucks and then gave us the keys and said, "You got VERY lucky." How the hell were we lucky? Lucky that you almost sent us 45 minutes away to pick up a truck that wouldn't have been there? Lucky that our truck was in the place it was supposed to be? And then she was talking about how much she hated headquarters and that it was all their fault. It was all extremely unprofessional. We will NEVER be using U-HAUL again.

Improve customer service and dress attire in the workplace. We could not access or reach anyone at the storage for two days plus we paid upfront for a unit we could not gain access to. We were forced to hold off on the move itself and this made it very inconvenient to find more help. Our hope is to be credited back one day use. Please pass these comments onto the storage company. Please note that the girl who served us was very obese and wore clothing too short with her fat stomach hanging out! This is poor service.

We booked for self-pickup online so we could get the truck early, then found there was no way to get the truck when we arrived at the pick-up location. We had to cancel the reservation by phone, then return to the location once it opened and rent the truck again. The person at the location said they don't participate in self-pickup, but our online booking indicated that we could do self-pickup. We were not offered the $50 reimbursement for the vehicle not being available at our scheduled pickup time.

It is extremely frustrating to reserve a truck online and then be called to say that the one you reserved is not available. Not once have I ever received the truck that I reserved. Not once. The experience this time was ok, but I would never rent uhaul unless there were no other options available.

Have proper charges when returning vehicle after hours using online check in. I have a dispute open as it tries to charge me .79 per km instead of .49 per km as advertised for the cargo van rental.

I would recommend as we have no choice but to us this branch as no other places close by (15klm) have the same size truck. The branch was fine, was upset I ordered a dozen blankets and when I got back with the truck realized none were in there and no one bother to tell me. I had to wait an house because the person that returned the truck the night before did not leave the key so had to pay my movers an hour pay and they could not load the truck. Overall was not a great experience by any means

Keeping the trailers in a paved area not full of mud. Assisting customers in backing in and getting trailer hooked up. Having a price for less then 24 hours. Rented a trailer on a Friday morning and returned it early Saturday afternoon and was still charged for a full 2 days even though if I returned it Sunday I would have had to bring it back before my 48 hours was up because it had been "booked by someone else". Girl working there was very nice and the office and the rest of the facility (not where trucks and trailers were) was very nice. Great location. Thanks,

When I contacted the Orangeville location I was dealing with the woman was rude and offered no assistance telling me I needed to deal with head office. I am still trying to get the charges reversed and am dealing with my banks fraud dept 2 weeks later

Hi there, I booked a truck on May 9 and received the confirmation email from our pick up location on May 10. The email from May 10 says that my reservation is confirmed and guaranteed for 26' foot truck pickup at 9am. After the confirmation email, the pick up location phoned and confirmed everything with my husband. I also pre checked my husband in so it was all ready to go. When my husband went to pick the truck on June 10, they stated that our reservation was cancelled. (Which neither of us did) they only had a 15' foot truck so that was the only thing available. We took it of course because we were moving which is stressful in the first place. We ended up having to do three trips to our new place because the size of the truck. I phoned and left a message for the location at 10am june 10 looking for follow up and have yet to hear back. I would not recommend this location at all. Very poor service.

I had a confirmation for a 15 foot truck. The day before I was picking it up, I relieved a call telling me the size of truck I booked wasn't available and I would have to pick it up from a different location. I instead was told I had the option of driving it from Brampton (add 30 plus km and $$) or a smaller truck. As I had already made plans for help, I was forced to take the smaller truck. I received two emails confirming the new truck size and the new pickup location. After arriving at the new location it was close, I had to call in and find out the address I was given on two occasions was incorrect and it was another pickup location. After getting to the location the clerk complained that she was just grilled by head office because they werent open ect. Then I got the 10 foot truck which smelled like the person before me either transported cow manure or horses in it - it stunk and there was dirt ( hopefully it was dirt) ALL over the bottom. When I arrived at the location I was moving from, I realize I didn't have a ramp which ment I had to lift a giant fridge up into it AND with the truck being smaller, I had to lay it down as it wouldn't fit standing up. This ended up completely scratching up one side. Thanks so much for this terrible, start to finish service, I plan to NEVER use you guys again. Terrible, do NOT use.

I had the worst Uhaul experience in my life and will never use/refer to anyone again. I was called at 4pm the day before my scheduled pick up in milton Ontario and told that they do not have the 27' moving truck I reserved.. In turn I was given only one option to pick up said 27' truck in orangeville (80kms) from house. Not only did I have to waste over 3hrs of my day to get said truck, and over 160kms extra driving... The fuel was said to be at 1/4 full and when driving off with the truck I noticed that it was nearly empty and the closest gas station was a fair distance away. The extra kilometres that were given to me for the inconvenience barely covered the truck being moved to Milton then to Cambridge, Ontario (new location) and the fact that the truck had to be returned back to Orangeville after finished moving.. I was stuck with having to accept this situation or else I would not have been able to get my stuff out of the old house for the new owners to move in. I Am extremely upset and especially being charged for going over the allotted 150km (due to driving to and from Orangeville). Neadless to say that I will never use Uhaul ever again and hope I don't get this sort of surprise with your competitors
