The experience was terrible as the truck that I booked was not available at the original location and time that I RESERVED IT AT. it took almost 3 hours and countless phone calls to find the truck that I RESERVED. NOT SURE WHAT GOOD A RESERVATION IS AT UHAUL?? I had a driveway full of stuff and a bunch of folks waiting for me to return with the truck for 3 hours as I drove to multiple Uhaul facilities. The woman at the Old Saybrook facility was very nice in the end... the experience was terrible overall, but it certainly was not her fault.

This is the second time I rented a Van from here. First one was relatively clean and in good shape. This time around, the Van was not well maintained with the "Change Oil" warning constantly on display, and the cargo area had quite a few dirty, used blankets left over from prior renter. Also there was a loose hand cart (which I did not need) that I needed to tie to the cage. Next time I will check cargo area and warning before departing.

I was offered a significant discount online to drop off at a particular location and accepted that location. Without discussion, the location for drop off (on my printed contract at pick up) was different. That caused confusion and I needed to call 1-800 UHaul to find out it was okay to use that location - which was closer to the end of our journey, so good news. We would have appreciated a heads up.

When I walked in at 9:03am to pick up my U-Haul, there was a couple in front of me ordering a truck in-person (they didn't reserve online). I waited 20 minutes until I was attended. During that 20 minutes 2 more customers came in after me and I wanted to warn them to run away. My whole "check out" ordeal took 2 minutes. I feel like the people with the pre-reserved trucks should have been assisted first.

No one ever got back to me regarding my experience---- I had a simple task--- which was to pick up decking boards that were 12ft long--- over 100 that were on pallets They told me that I have at least an extra 6 inches to the length of 12'6" to slid these into the truck they provided--- WELL THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY OFF! It was about a 45min drive and the end of my day--- we got to the pickup location they attempted to load and the boards were sticking out--- COULD NOT CLOSE THE DOOR! I called them IMMEDIATELY--- he told me that his measurements were correct--- I took my own measurements and pictures--- WAY OFF! I don't provide trucks for my living--- THEY SHOULD KNOW! THEY DIDN'T CARE AND HUNG UP ON ME! I could of simply found a Larger Truck for $10 more dollars--- As I initially wanted to to play it safe but they told me the truck they fit me for would WORK! Again, I have not heard back from anyone regarding this---- 860.575.5294 KRIS.

Personnel were not friendly and did not have the drop-off location as chosen at original order. Had to choose another location for drop off.

Bad signage. I couldn't find the place and google maps had an image of the ambulance place across the street. Almost missed my train after the drop off.

Your locations/franchises are fine, but your company is horrible. I reserved a dolly for New Haven, but then a day before I was to pick it up I was told it would be in Old Saybrook. It took over an hour with traffic to get there and almost an hour back - on a day that I was moving my entire belongings. This was a massive inconvenience. I do not understand why this happened if it was "reserved". Upon my complaint, Uhaul customer service said they would discount me $50 (although a chunk of this went to gas). I then though didn't see the $50 discount on my bill. I am currently thinking about calling that state attorney general to report Uhaul for deceptive business practices. I understand that you have a near monopoly in this type of moving service. It would seem that more state regulation is required to make sure customers are not lost in your business model.
