Make sure that whe an item is turned in during business hours, that a receipt is sent promptly. I received a call today asking me why I had not turned in my truck yet. I told the lady that I had turned in my tow dolly (not a truck) in early yesterday afternoon and that I had not received my receipt yet. She said that I would receive my receipt once they logged in my return. That should have been done yesterday.

Ryan the office manager isno at all nice to work with and when I tried to cear up a billing problem because of a area of damage that was clearly marked on Green Tag but billed $150 anyway. He hung up on me & when I called back 3 times to speak with him he refuses to call back. Very bad customer service. Never ever will I recommend this store.

The customer service reps at this location need to be honest. I did not get the van I requested and was told that I was going to recieve a truck which was a bit larger but with the same rental and milage costs, and I would be able to return it as a one way. I found that NONE of that was true after I was at my destination. I had to return to where I rented the equipment and complained to the manager who then gave me the same milage cost as the van rental.

They only had one guy busting his butt to take care of four customers, and more coming in. He was doing a great job but the store needs to have a second person. We all had to wait, but their worker was running and jumping. No one can complain when their worker was doing such a great job. I wish he worked for me.

Horrendous experience. 14 times before it was Great. First 26' footer smelled of marijuana. They said that it was used to move a lot of pot plants. The second 26' was in terrible shape. But we had to rent one that day. It not only stalled out twice getting onto the freeway, all of the dash lights and running lights went out. The front windshield was so filthy that we couldn't see out of it. It also did not stay on the road safely, it was all over the place. We could not complete our job because we couldn't legally drive the truck without lights, we returned the truck Immediately to Oceanside. We couldn't empty the bubble wrap or bags of trash or get fuel because we told the Officer we would return the truck immediately to Uhaul because we had no lights and we were driving at night. We couldn't refuel because there were no dash lights on. So we Wrote a Note that night when returning the keys. We called the moment they opened at 9:01am. We left over 15 messages with Customer Care / Support to ask the Location Manager to call us so we could explain all the problems we encountered. At 9:00am they were very quick to charge our credit card for the additional: 30.00 to refuel and 100 for cleaning service without even one phone call to us. Very disappointed in the lack of Customer Service from that location...no one from that location reached out to us...especially because we drove an Unsafe Truck that they provided. Very Disappointed.

Somewhat busy but employee was excellent in attending to me. He guided me through the return process. Was concerned that the trailer was making some noise during the travel but thank god nothing bad happened. Either way, very pleased with overall service and experience.

This was my first experience with a U-Haul or any moving/rental company. Out the gate I was treated like I should know all the ins and outs of the business. After leaving I still have no idea what a "BP" is the employees seemed to care little for anything. While I was being helped the lady at the desk decided not to answer the phone simply stating I'm not even gonna answer it. (Not a direct quote I don't remember exactly what she said however it was a careless comment). They trucks milage when I accepted it wasn't what the paper said which was fine they documented on the contract the correct milage. Also as soon as I drove off the lot I got a low tire pressure light. And the interior was stained. I was however compensated for the difference in milage. So truck dirty on the inside minus one star, the careless employees with an appalling lack of professionalism minus another, and they compensated me for their mistake but can't buy my stars it was a mistake minus another. So 2 stars This was intended to be light hearted not aggressive.

Great team at this location. Only down side is they are good and at times it's a bit of a wait -- by modern standards ---- which if you are over 40 is just fine !!! Just wish there is a location in the middle between Miramar and Oceanside!!!!!!! Very inconvenient from my location !!!!

Inform your customer that the truck they're renting needs to be returned at the same location. I was never told I needed to return the truck in oceanside and now I'm being charged a $180.00 fee. I was basically told "too bad." by Mr. Williams, the store manager in Placentia. I'm glad my reservation conversation was recorded. You've lost a customer.

Overall, the staff was very customer service oriented and treated me with a great deal of respect. The only exception to my experience was with the slender guy with a mohawk who kind of just grunted out orders. I wouldn't have thought much of it but the service from everyone else was just so stellar that he stuck up like a sore thumb.
