I think dealerships that are going to rent trailers out by themselves should at least carry some of the basic necessities like balls, receivers and other items that would be required to at least be able to pick up a trailer.

The employee where I picked up the trailer told me my ball was too big and sold me one from his store, replaced my too big ball, and then attached the trailer. I later saw the one he sold me was the exact same size (2") I had on my vehicle.

The place was not open during the normal business hours. Had to do the contract over the phone and load the trailer in the mud to my truck. This was after going to my original pickup location, then another pickup location which both were closed.



The agent was very friendly, but for some reason he ended up giving me a drop-off location 30 minutes away when there were SEVERAL closer locations.



Store was closed. Copy of contract was needed for the drop box. Fortunately owner stopped by and opened store so that copy could be made.

Well, I had to pick up the truck 7 miles further than where I was moving to and then backtrack the now 30 miles just to load and go back the way I just came. There's 3 other cities in between where I was living and where I was moving to, but this most was the most "convenient" location for a pickup for a 10' truck, which ended up being a 15' truck when all was said and done. Maybe some basic use of Google maps when deciding what is going to be a "convenient" pickup location for the customer so they don't use ALL of their mileage just bringing the truck to where it needs to be loaded would be a great first step into better customer service. Another step would be having someone on the customer service line actually help when an issue like this happens, rather than pretty much just telling me to deal with it. The truck was clean, AC worked like a champ, and the back door for the truck took nearly zero effort to open and rise up, so that was definitely appreciated and why I use u-haul and not anyone else.

I called a week in advance and was told that the truck would be in Pascagoula, MS 39567 (Market Street) at 8:30 AM, Monday, August 22, 2016. I received text the day before that Monday that it would be in Biloxi, MS at 12:00 Noon. I called U-Haul to handle this and was put on hold which nobody answered. I was then told that it would be in Ocean Springs, MS at 8:30 AM. I called U-Haul to handle this and was put on hold which nobody answered. I had a loading crew sitting waiting on the truck for 1 1/2 hours at $75.00 hr. My money wasted: $112.50.
