I went to one that was close to my storage. the guy did not say anything about insurance,, he charged me for it. No print out. Went to get it , no keys. Went across street, the young lady didnt have one (26), She looked up where there was one in Ky. It took over an hour to get a truck , that was pre reserved. the lady at Oak Grove was very helpful and friendly. I dont have internet on my phone. To download and do all that stuff w driver license.

The appliance dolly was missing a strap so made it difficult to use so we really didn't even use it. Other then that everything was great.

Inside was clutter since it's a liquidation. Everything seemed a bit messy with our online order on the computer with the receptionist. But the man that helped us load was awesome!
Untrained staff did not know anything about insurances coverages for truck and trailer or roadside assistance in case of an issue during a one way trip. Equipment was dirty and personnel didn't even know what equipment was mine when I had it reserved for a month.
Customer service was poor and employees had an attititude about working there and that reflects on the overall service.
The whole rental experience was pretty good.
Ensure that when you say I am going to leave your drop off location open for it to actually be open and not get assigned an area out of the way causing you to lose/ waste time and money And adds more stress to an already stressful move.
Horrible experience. I was almost at destination and I got a flat. It took over an hour to get ahold of someone and more than an hour to get someone out to change the tire out. I did the chat for help and they said that when I return the trailer to tell them about the experience and get some sort of compensation from them. When I arrived, the uhaul workers did not help me at all. At all. They didn't even look at the contract and said I can file a complaint. Please help me. I was hoping to get a discount especially because when it happened I was only an hour away from my destination, I had two young kids in the car it was an awful time for us. Sincerely, Sandra Stites.

I had an appointment for 3:00 to pick up the truck. Was not able to pick up the truck till almost 4:00. Stood in the lobby for almost an hour. When i asked about the reservation guarantee promise, i pretty much got pushed aside.
Absolutely horrible experience and still have not yet to get my refund. Beware they will keep charging your card on file even after you paid. First when I went to pick up my truck no one could help me because I was having trouble doing the quick pick up over the phone. The person inside the U-Haul store said that I would have to call the 1800 number. Ok well after about 40 minutes on the phone finally they were able to check me in. Then my truck wasn't ready because it was being cleaned. Don't know why it wasn't being cleaned when I was on that 40 minute phone call. Also my movers had just arrived at my residence and were waiting on me to bring the truck. Finally as she finished up she asked me for the key code that I had no idea what it was. She said they were suppose to give it to me over the phone at check in. Ok so more time wasting. So the store attendant ended up just making one up for me and charged me $79 for the one night, insurance and estimated 20 miles local fee. Ok that's fine I already knew that any extra miles would be $1 additional charge per mile. Next day after already returning the truck. The store randomly charges my debit an additional $68. I know I did not do an additional $68 in miles so I returned to the store to dispute this additional charge. The guy was friendly but seemed to not have any clue as to the breakdown on my bill. Then he admits that he accidentally charged me an additional night and will refund me the $40. The additional charge was for mileage and insurance. Still didn't make sense because I know I didn't do $28 in extra miles. However I was tired so just excepted to be refunded the $40. He hands me the receipt for the refund and apologizes on U hauls behalf and decides to refund me everything I had paid. I didn't ask for this but because I thought he had authority I was feeling blessed and thanked him. To my surprise a few days later I get a text saying I have an overdue balance of now $68 for my truck rental. Also saying I would have to pay a late fee of $30 if the balance is not paid in a few days. Again having to go down to the store I speak to Brandi who claims she is the store manager. The guy who gave me the refund was not in. Brandi looks Into my account and says she apologizes but the last employee was not authorized to give me a full refund and $68 balance stands. I explained that I didn't ask for him to refund me the full amount so it wasn't my fault. She claims U haul just cannot give refunds like that. So now I'm being punished for a mistake her employee made. I told her I do not get paid until August.07 because the money he refunded me was already spent. I didn't know a good deed was going to have to be payed back. She ensures me that she will call the area field manager Gregg Ruffing to extend my pay date to August.07 with no late fee since it was their fault. I confirmed again before leaving the store and she told me not to worry. I also made it clear that I currently have no funds in my account. One week later 8 days before August.07 my debit randomly gets charged again by UHaul. This time $98. Now I have to pay my bank overdraft fees. Again UHaul charging my debit on file without my permission. For the 3rd time I go back to the store furiously and now there is another different employee there claiming she is the manager. She tells me Brandi was not a manager and it looks like U-Haul cooperate head quarters charged me $68 plus the $30 late fee . I explained to her what Brandi said and she apologizes and says maybe she forgot to call the area field manager or maybe he was just to busy to fix my account. Through out this whole ordeal no one seemed to resolve any situation or come up with a solution. I kept getting thrown to another person. She then tells me to call the 1 800 UHaul so they can refund me. At this point since I already had to pay overdraft fees I just wanted them to keep their $68 so I never have to deal with U Haul again and I just wanted my $30 late fee refunded back. Apparently 1800 UHaul couldn't refund me because they said the field manager Greg Ruffing had to do it. They couldn't contact him so they claim they sent him an email and he would call me back. Well two days passed no phone call from Greg or refund. I decide to email him directly. He responded saying that he told brandy that the refund for the late fee would be applied once the balance was paid. He didn't even apologize for charging my debit without permission. He then claims that he cannot refund me until he sees the charge processed but now this is 4 days after I was charged so he cannot see that. Come on. I emailed him back saying that I can send him my bank statement showing the amount deducted. He responds by saying THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED IF I WOULD HAVE PAID MY BALANCE IN FULL LIKE STATED IN THE CONTRACT. I think out of the whole horrible experience that I had with this company that statement alone was not only hurtful but upsetting. This is because I did pay my full balance on day one of pick up and his staff were the ones that messed up by adding an extra night and then issuing me a full refund when I didn't even ask for one. For a field manager to make a comment like that without even knowing the full story. He did not even apologize for the unprofessionalism that I encountered. He just judged me as if i was someone irresponsible. I knew that first employee was trying to do good for issuing me a full refund. He felt my pain for my horrible experience but I wish he would have just kept what I owed UHaul and just refunded me the extra night he said he accidentally charged me for. I paid for all this and until now I still haven't received my $30 late fee refund. I'm writing to warn everyone about this company. They were not properly trained right and have no communication with each other. I recommend you do ask for your credit or debit card to be removed from your account once you return your rental. This was my experience.

Tell the customer they need to refill the gas tank. I assumed the 69 cents per mile covered the cost of the gas. When I returned the truck I had to pay for the difference in the gas tank.
Needed the truck for extra days. They were willing to assist with another Uhaul that could accommodate me. Great service.
I contracted one price online but supposedly I got a military discount but did not. I provided all information about drop off which was a nightmare.

The trailer I rented had wheels and lugnuts that were very rusted. I don't think that specific location was to blame for that.
Your online process for turning a truck in is like applying to be a secret service agent.
The young lady was knowledgeable & help with my anxiety with driving off of the car hauler.
We requested to tow a car and the dolley was broken. The u-haul employee attempted to convince us that the dolley was not broken and the fact that it wouldn't lock was completely normal. We refused to use it and requested a refund I have yet to receive. On our trip using the U-Haul it broke down and had to be towed the rest of the way to our house. We then had to rush through unloading the U-Haul because we lost time. Despite this we returned the U-Haul a day early, no refund on this either. I will be hard pressed to ever use U-Haul again or ever recommend friend/family to use U-Haul.

Brandi was great she went out her way and made our transaction easy. The guy John that help book my reservation was great also. His location didnt have what I needed he found one that did and took the work from me. I am thankful for the both of them
