Tried to charge $16 for 4 gallons of gas, when the meter was showing we were only short by less than a quarter of a gallon. Not cool at all. Scammers... smh I bet they don't put EXTRA money on your card when you put MORE gas in their vehicles, than was initially there. It should be the same all across the board. Do better.

We spent $77.00 on gas and still had to pay $17 more because we returned it 1/4 tank less. We were so exhausted and just didn't feel like pumping gas seeing we are from New Jersey where we don't pump our own gas. The personal there I felt was very insensitive. I personally would not go to this location.

The cab was filled with cigarette ashes and it smelled like an ashtray. Some kind of air freshener would have been appreciated. The pick up staff were very nice people.

Told by the clerk that the gas tank was “full.” I used the truck for twelve miles and “filled up” less than a mile away from returning the truck. Three gallons at $8.75. Four miles a gallon? No way! That means the truck was not full when I picked up even though the needle appeared full. Asked the clerk for consideration to cover my extra gas subsidy on the previous driver ($5 perhaps). Think I got any? Might seem small potatoes, but it’s the principle of getting pinched even for a few dollars. My second time using this rental location and surely my last.

The operation was run out of a bodega. The business of renting the truck was halted not once but ten times by people buying lottery tickets and cigarettes. i could not understand the guy running the place, though he did seem nice.

I made a reservation a few hours ahead of time to secure my moving vehicle. Upon arrival I was told that the other employee rented out my reserved truck to another customer. I finally after 35 mins was able to get another truck.. fast forward to the next day (I originally made my reservation to bring the truck back the next day at 6pm. I received three unpleasant calls from management telling me that the truck was due back 6am.. I would’ve never agreed to Beijing the truck back at 6am simply because I was not able to use the truck to move my belongings until after 3pm. After I spoke with one of the managers for the 3rd time they tried to charge my card $95 extra.. I will never rent another U-Haul from the location again

Pickup location was changed twice on me, the last time 1 hour before I was due to pick up van. New location was 15 minutes further away. Also I had requested a van but none was available so I got a truck. However, this limited the highways I could go on and delayed my trip home

Your website slow. 3 attempts by agent with too much waiting to arrange rental. Took forever. Damage and insurance terms not clear or explained well. Would have gone elsewhere but needed rental immediately and place was extremely close by. Totally surprised by needing another name/contact to rent truck and partial tank full upon rental. Would not use U-Haul again.

They rent equipment literally held together with tape. When confronted about their shortcomings, their answer was that Uhaul maintains the equipment and not them. Not very customer friendly oriented.

Reservations online were easy. At the time of my reservation I was offered to pick up the equipment via a mobile platform so I accepted this. On arrival to the location I began the pick up process but was only able to get to the point where I needed to take my picture and the mobile platform froze on multiple attempts. So I called customer service to complain. They told me the agent had to convert the reservation to a traditional pick-up. The young girl who was there appeared to not know how to do this and I wasn’t until another employee arrived that they were able to continue with the reservation. I finally got the keys and the contract at 920 AM, 20 minutes after my arrival and 20 minutes after my reservation time. The 9’ van was newer but stunk like cigarettes. It had absolutely no washer fluid and was covered in salt dust. The cargo area was covered in salt pebbles as well. The van drove well except at 40 to 45 MPH it made a horrible muffling sound through out the van that actually hurt my eardrums; I am not sure if that was a wind, tire or mechanical issue. All in all I rate the whole U-Haul experience a 7/10.

The representative that I made the reservation with was very pleasant. However, when I arrived to pick up the truck, the amount had changed tremendously. I've rented from U-haul on several occasions, and never had an experience like I did on 1-15-18. I was over charged for a one way trip, which was still in the state of MD, and was not told that I would have an additional charge for a one way trip.

Drop off was also quick and easy. My complaint is not with the pickup or drop off locations. My complaint is with the scheduling. I reserved the truck 2+ weeks in advance to be picked up 5 minutes from my house (Sayre, PA). I had to go to Wysox, over a half hour each way to pick up the truck. This added over an hour to my drive (with my own car and gas). While the mileage on the truck was adjusted, the price was not. There should have been some compensation on UHauls part or you should have driven the truck to the location I rented. The spokesperson I spoke with at UHaul was rude and not helpful. Very poor customer service on UHauls part.
