I had previously called numerous times and there was no answer. At one point, the person answered the phone and when I asked about U-haul they hung up. Later, after speaking with a pleasant U-Haul rep regarding my reservation, I left a voicemail message with 5 Star Furniture, and they never returned my call. When we arrived, the signing in service was acceptable, although we didn't feel particularly welcomed. The truck we received ran well, the items requested were brought out to the truck quickly. However, the cleanliness of the truck was disappoointing (quite dirty, including the windshields), and it had about 1/3 tank full of gas.

Apparently, this is a high crime area, because when we picked up the truck, the fuel line had been cut and someone had stolen most of the gas. The manager didn't check that, but told me it was "normal" to have 1/4 tank at the start. Plus the guy at the counter was not friendly or helpful. Truck was dirty (e.g., windshield covered with bugs)

The geographic location was fine, but operating hours were open at 11am, and I wanted the truck at 9am, so was delayed in packing. The truck was dirty on the inside, and had bugs smashed all over the front of the truck. The handler did no walk through, inspection, or give any instruction, just turned over the key after i paid my $2000 up front. The first FOUR people I talked with to make my reservation handled like this: (1 person) my name wrong, my phone number wrong, wrong reservation date, and wrong quote for materials. (2 person) corrected name and number, gave wrong pick up location, forgot to include trailer, still kept the wrong date. (3 person) corrected date, picked wrong location, forgot trailer. (4 person) Right name, number, date, but forgot the trailer (I shipped with someone else), and gave me a location that isn't even open for when I was going to show up. Overall went with another company to ship my motorcycle, and packed my stuff three hours late in a not-quite-clean enough 10' truck. Thought u-haul would have a lot of these 10' trucks, but I guess not. I'll go with Penske next time, maybe they'll be happy to $2000 dollars.

Picking up with a mobile phone did not work as expected and the number that I called several times did not answer. Had to wait until 12 pm to pick up the truck I had booked for 10 am. However, far worse was the experience at filling up with gas. Gas was gushing out as fast as it was filled and any spark at that time would have incinerated my daughter and I. At returning the truck I told the U-haul rep about the inlet not being connected to the tank and he mentioned that sometimes people steal gas. This means that the truck was not inspected before handing it to me and this kind of negligence could have cost lives. NOT HAPPY

I went to drop off the truck I guess the manager went to open the door on the door it said they were open at 10 when in fact they didn't open till 11 he was very rude directing me outside to look at the sign that said open at 11 I simply threw the keys in the Dropbox and left worst experience I've ever had in my life

Where do I begin? I had a 3:30pm appointment to pickup the truck, however I was going to be ~20 minutes late, so I called to let them know. The guy that answered the phone didn't seem to care; that I was going to be late, or about anything, in general. I arrived and walked into the furniture store. When I sat down to go through the paperwork and get the keys, the guy at the front counter, whom I presume answered the phone (no personality), tells me that he doesn't have the furniture dollies which I requested at the time I placed the order as these are imperative to our move. I asked him if I would be refunded and he told me he had no idea; it was basically up to me to find out and that I was SOL because he didn't have them. Then he asked me if I paid, and I told him I was doing express check-in. After that he made a sigh of relief and tossed the keys to me on the counter and told me "just take it!". I went out to the truck to check-in (which that's another story because U-Haul's site wouldn't load after I uploaded my driver's license photo, so I had to call customer service to finish the check-in, which they were great!). When I was at the truck, another guy brought out the moving blankets I requested, and I asked him if I purchased these to keep or to rent, and if I should bring them back. He shrugged his shoulders at me, and said "I don't know!" These guys didn't seem to know much, and were of NO HELP! C'mon U-Haul, get it together! I should have known, picking up a U-Haul at a ghetto furniture store downtown... I guess I shouldn't have expected much; but their lack of customer service is unforgivable! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS STORE! 5 STAR FURNISHINGS SHOULD BE ZERO STAR FURNISHINGS!!!! HORRIBLE!

the uhaul website let me book before the store opened using the feature to unlock with my phone. When I arrived at my scheduled time, my Uhaul was not ready for me and the store didn't open for 2 hours. I lost 2 hours of moving time and my friends time. Once the store opened, everything went smoothly. the truck could have used some dusting though

The couple who owns the rental are friendly and helpful; however, their hired help who manages the desk has a poor attitude and low work ethic. I arrived several minutes earlier to pick up my rental and was brushed aside rudely - forced to wait a good half hour when the man clearly had time to help me. The owner had to step in and I was out in five minutes. Additionally, when I returned my rental truck, the same rude worker refused to sign me out and instead, the owner's wife had to take care of my return, which also took less than five minutes. As someone who also works in the service business, I get it: it's not easy to satisfy every customer. However this man made me feel deeply uncomfortable and lowered my overall impression of the business, despite the help I received from the owners. I do hope that the next time I ever come here again, this worker either has a better attitude or will have moved to a different job.

I had my pick up location relocated a day before my move which was an inconvenience, but could manage even though it was time sensitive when I picked up my truck due to a funeral. I go to the new location and the guy has no idea of my scheduled pick up. Also does not have the truck I need. I call the uhaul number was saying I was supposed to pick it up on the opposite side of town... and then find out I was supposed to pick it up ata completely different location which is a total of 4 different with in 24 hrs. I was very disappointed and angry do to the ridiculous planning of the truck after it was confirmed 2 days prior my truck i reserved a week in advanced would be where I requested it. The pick up location was ok. Mainly the uhaul planning was Ridiculous! I tried to get a truck the week before by walk in, but trucks were all sold out. I had no problem with that due to poor planning on my part. So I reserved a truck for the following week and have had a horrible experiance.

The man told me he called me to let me know 3 hours prior to pickup that he would not have a truck available for me. I was packing and did not even get this message, because, again, I was busy packing my life up getting ready to move. When we got there the guy acted like it was my fault for even showing up to pick up a truck that I reserved with U-Haul (Phone). He didn't even communicate what happened, what was wrong, what other options I had. So unhelpful. After I told him there is no option except for me to move out of my place today, he finally gave me the U-Haul on-site. I feel like this whole process was unprofessional and unorganized.

Was rude to my girlfriend because she asked if I can drive the uhaul if it's under her name and he said no until we got there and realized we wernt secret shoppers and then let me drive. When I bring it back he had customers at his 's furniture store and totally ignored me to make the sale. When I asked to please let me go because I'm paying for movers he said to leave the keys and just go. I never complain but CW Furniture should not be an authorized dealer.

It was a tiny little store in a terrible neighborhood and the truck was only 1/2 full. We didnt even have a reservation for this location, it was a location off Broadway that gave away our truck! There was no UHaul sign or anything but the one truck out front.

"I really shouldn't help you until all of the customers are out of the store because I don't make any money off of u-haul." Worst rental experience ever. The only thing positive from the experience is that I got a truck. The guy was borderline hostile about the fact that I was inconveniencing him, and I left pissed. If I weren't in the middle of moving and writing this on my phone, I'd have a lot more to say.

We will NEVER USE UHAUL again. You didn' give us the size truck I reserved and you changed my return time to3 ours earlier than I requested at reservation time. We had to drive to a second location at the last minute to rent a smaller truck than requested to be able to get the initial return time we requested. We are never using Uhaul again.
