I did the overnight pick up but since it was a gas station I had to go inside for the keys where the clerk would not give me the keys until seven, kinda defeats the overnight purpose

When I placed my order for my rental, I was quoted a price. Then when I arrived, the type of rental I needed wasn’t available and the guy assisting me told me he only had the bigger truck and there was a price difference. He didn’t offer to discount it because of the inconvenience or anything. It was like welp are you going to pay it or no? And then when I had to go and pull the truck out of the parking spot they were so close together I had to squeeze in and try not to hit another truck when pulling out. It was just a bad experience and I won’t order from that location again.

I had the worst experience with the UHaul self service app. I would NOT recommend using this app to pick up your Uhaul. You are better off picking up a Uhaul during normal business hours. This app kept freezing when we tried to upload the pictures it asked us to take before proceeding to get the keys. On top of that our Uhaul was blocked in with another truck. Returning the truck using the app was a nightmare because it would not allow us to return the Uhaul until we took a picture of the odometer, which we took 3 times and got kicked out of the app. We had to call customer service, and on top of that got charged a fee for returning the truck late! How does this makes sense. Although our issues were resolved, just do not use the app. Hope this helps!

I had a very poor experience with Uhaul this time around. I am a young woman trying to move myself and Uhaul put me in a very challenging position. They did not realize until I was at my assigned location that they did not have the equipment that had been reserved for me. After a time consuming process they sent me to a different location rather far away. All the while I am losing out on a large amount of money because my movers were at my house charging me by th me hour waiting. Overall I was very disappointed that Uhaul did not uphold their value of a reservation.

The place for the drop off was nasty and very uninviting. The man told me that i had to mop the truck out as well as cleaning it. It was clean but moping it I NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING!!!!??????and he tack on $25 for it. I've always use Uhaul for all my moving experience but if now I have to mop it NOPE I WON'T USE THEM AGAIN.....

The entire experience with U-Haul was terrible. They confirmed a pick up location that had no idea what we were doing there. They sent us to a second location and after a thirty minute wait was told we had to drive to a third location where hardly no one spoke English. Miserable experience to simply pick up a 6x12 trailer. Customer service has been no help and in fact very rude abrupt and short with every contact.

It was a bad part of town, fithy gas station type place. The owner refused to accept the trailer because he had to many on his lot. He insisted I phone the people who rented to me. When I did they could not help me and said I needed to contact the 800 number. After arguing with them that it was their responsibility and they sent me there to drop off, they made the correct phone calls. Then the owner of drop off store agreed to accept the trailer. Never ever want to deal with Uhaul again, bad experience!

So when I picked my U-Haul and dolly up it was in a bad part of town in North Charleston. The U-Haul was being rented out of a sketchy gas station where these 2 people that barely spoke English were talking to each other in their language and then the one that set us up with the U-Haul was on his Bluetooth headset speaking In his language the whole time setting it up. The U-Haul was covered in coffee and sticky residue in the cup holders. Also initially when I went in to ask for a U-Haul the first man I spoke to whispered and asked if I was asking for methadone. I was appalled and repeated “no no no a U-Haul!” and he whispered back and said “what do you need??” And i repeated what I said and he got his other guy in the gas station to help us out. Sooo it was to my discomfort that this gas station was also selling drugs. They also were smoking cigarettes in the gas station. I felt so uncomfortable and afraid that the U-Haul and dolly was not up to par and safe. Come to find out later down the road they didn’t hook my car on right to the was only being held onto by the straps. No chains were connected. So therefore I had to stop in the middle of my 31 hour drive to Utah to get it fixed. Improvements that can be made are doing a thorough check of who you guys have renting these U-Hauls out and where they’re being rented out from. Thank you. The people in Missouri that helped me fix the dolly were very nice and helpful.

This location is inside of a convenience store. The person helping with the Uhaul did not speak fluent English. I had entered my info in the system for express check out but when I arrived to pick up the Uhaul. It took them 40 minutes to enter our information. Then they charged my credit card twice! Do not get a Uhaul from this location

The best thing you can do for your next customer is close this location down!! This location is in the deepest part of a ghetto I have ever been in. I was honestly afraid I was going to be robbed. I thought I was in the wrong area but after calling, was assured I was at the right location to pick the truck up. Before I could get out of the car someone was knocking on my window asking for spare change. Again at the front door of this location someone was sitting asking for money. The gas station attendant was fairly friendly but this should not be a location for Uhaul. I should have read the Google reviews on this place, many say ghetto, stay away, dont go at night etc. I didnt even check to make sure the paper work was accurate, as soon as I got the keys my friend and I hauled ass out of there before we could be robbed or shanked by a crack head. Ill be going with Penske next time, I might pay more but I wont fear for my life just picking the truck up.

Location is in the hood. People were hanging around in the front like it’s a hang out spot. The truck was dirty and it barely had gas. Never going back there.

Location was very unsafe, and equipment was very old and beat up. Truck in bad condition, back of truck was very dirty. Location operator did not walk around the vehicle or show me anything, gave me keys and said have a good trip. This location sets a bad example for your business.
