Detail ALL of the fees in addition to the rate to rent trucks / equipment. Provide a printout of some sort of all costs and any other important information that should be given.

Just one minor suggestion for customers that bring vehicles back after hours. Provide more lighting on the outside so that we can take clear pictures to prove that the vehicle is being return in the same condition it was picked up. It's hard to get a good picture at night, worst during inclement weather. Other than that, all is good.
The location barcode was not working
Let customer know your schedule to close the office so they can make arrangements to return the vehicle
Overall not happy with the uhual service. I have made the reservation 1 week ago, once i recahed the location, they told me the utility dollys are not rented at thia location. I had to call uhual and agent sent me to new location where i only got one of the two items k have reserved. And thos was 1 hour before i was supposed to start moving. Reservation no 87162350. The agent was very rude on the phone and hungup my call before i could ask more questions. The entrance to the store is confusing. There are no sirections on how to enter when coming from tonnel ave.

I wanted to let your company know, that for my first time working with you, the experience did not start of as fantastic as I would have liked it to have been. However, the Tonnelle location is the one to thank, for the redeeming experience. They were kind and patient, as well as very polite in explaining the services and recommendations of your services. I had previously contacted one of your partnering locations in Marin boulevard in jersey city, and I was left more that just frustrated and appalled with the staffs professionalism. There I was mocked and even advised to come to the store and pick a fight with one of the locations owners. This was all caused because I questioned your companies prices and there I was told that my business was not important enough to your (an I am paraphrasing) â€œbillion dollar company. I did not mean to offend anyone when asking for a breakdown and help regarding your fees, but none the less I was faced with poor treatment. The â€œownerâ€ would not provide me their name, and so I sent my complaints via your customer service/corporate phone line. The representative was extremely kind and helpful. She in fact explained to me the kind of relationship you have with this â€œmom & pop shopâ€ and how she herself was an owner of her own establishment. She filed a complaint for me and within a day, a regional manager contacted me and apologized. The manager that contacted me also tried to make things right by offering me further assistance on any future movings(I guess it would've been nice if they would have waived the fees this time, as I don't believe I'll be moving any time soon) but none the less he cared enough to hear me out and speak to me. Again I want to stress that the Tonnelle location was great! From the clerk to the vehicle dispatchers.

From past rentals, for the same purpose, I believed I needed a 9x5 with a front tire (motorcycle) indentation and a long rear ramp. I have a touring model motorcycle. This is what I requested. I reserved it for the Ridgefield, NJ location. The reservation was accepted. I was then called and told that I would have to go to the North Bergen location. When I arrived at that location, i was told the trailer was at space "F." I backed up to the trailer, and was then told I could not take that one. The manager told me he had a 5x9 trailer, but it did not have the front tire indentation. This I knew would not work. He then told me I could use a 4x8 trailer which had a tire indentation, but with a much shorter ramp. He insisted the trailer would fit my needs. He was dismissive and condescending. It did not. I damaged the oil and transmission pans when I pushed the motorcycle onto the ramp, when it caught on the ramp connection to the rear of the trailer. I understand that this is my responsibility, and am not submitting a claim. However, when a customer tells you he rented a specific trailer for a specific reason, maybe your staff and supervision should listen. if you don't have the equipment requested, maybe you should NOT take the reservation.
From check in, to the return of the rental, each of the team members provided exceptional customer service. They were patient, kind and courteous as I used the mobile app for check in. I felt valued and will most definitely reach to do business again when needed!
Right window of cargo Van was stuck in place and had to be re-aligned by the staff before it could be used. It's good that we noticed before using the van, otherwise we'd be liable for it. I think better quality check-ups are necessary before handing equipment over to customers.
Offer discount to veterans, keep the per mileage charge at .99 for every day.
