the guy toook 30 minutes to give me the truck, i was the first customer
Needs cleaning inside the back of the van and the windshield was very dirty.. Garbage inside the cabin.

I had the worst experience ever. The young lady was rude and I had to walk 4 blocks to pick the van. When I got to the parking lot I to drive the van out of a unusual tight parking lot.
I registered online to make everything easier, at my surprise, it took an hour to complete my reservation, associate wasn't friendly, I added second driver on my pre registration, he lied to me that it was in the system, to find out later it wasn't and have to wait longer for associate to add second driver manual. Furthermore, truck was not cleaned, he didn't tell me to look for the cleanness. At my surprise, when I when to drop, associate from drop off location told me I have to clean passenger side or I will be charged extra fee. I told him I didn't have passenger and it was like that when I picked the truck but he said if I don't clean, will see additional charge. All this because the pick up location didn't informed me .
The desk attendant explained everything to me. He was very helpful and friendly.
The pick up in the AM was a little disorganized: not enough people to handle all the pick ups.

It is with great displeasure that I write you this email. I have had a really bad experience with current u-haul booking. I have been a frequent u-hail customer and have never faced this. Firstly, I was given a van and it's keys and later it was taken back and I was assigned another one. For which I had to walk a distance to another location and pick it up. After arriving I was appalled by the liking at the unhygienic, dirty condition and the safety of the of the vehicle. It had dirt all over of the cabin. Including the driving wheel . Oil change display was ok but there wasn't any one to address it. After open the storage cabin, it was filled with dirt, oil, water etc. Due to no other option I had to drive this vehicle even after seeing its condition. Please provide an explanation and corresponding compensation for the inconvenience. Hope the standards of cleaning are improved at u-haul especially during the pandemic.
My drop off location was changed on me at the last second and added 10+ miles, $20+, and over 2 hours to my experience. I would never recommend Uhaul to anyone.
It was fine. There was a but of trash in the door compartments and under seats I was nervous about getting charged for. Pickup was fine but the GPS didn't work in the browser so I wasn't able to do the contactless pickup. Contactless drop off worked better in terms of being able to use the phone for everything smoothly, but there was nearly no parking in the area and I had to circle the block. Even after hours, I think something needs to be done to expand parking availability for drop offs. Lastly, every employee I worked with was great.
Need new staff with communication and customer services.
The service was bad and never give any details for return or chargers.

Got there and was told at the counter the vehicle I rented had a flat tire and they could only offer a smaller vehicle - that didn't fit all the things I needed to move. So I had to make two trips with the smaller vehicle instead of just one. This made my move take 4 hours longer than it would have with the larger vehicle and I had to use twice as many miles. Upon return I was told I'd be reimbursed for the extra mileage - just got my bill and it's twice as expensive as the price I was quoted so now I have to dispute it. The customer service people at the location were great but my overall experience with Uhaul has been extremely poor.
Place is chaotic to try and park a 15 foot U-Haul truck on a one way street. Its Manhattan though. However one of the guys that works there grabbed the keys and said I will take care of it for you. You are all set. Bonus, that same person helped me find my glasses that I left in the truck. I went back the next day. Thank you for your help! I wish I knew his name, He was very helpful.
I initially was not going to complete their survey however I experienced the same concerns two days in a row. The vehicle was filthy which raise great concerns due to our current climate of Covid-19. I addition, the sale rep had a nasty disposition and did not treat me as a value customer. I rented a vehicle two days in a row. The condition I encounter the first time I thought was an oversight and I cleaned and sanitized the vehicle.. This time I took pictures to support the conditions that appeared to have dog or some animal hairs, stains and fibers.
The vehicle was filthy which raise great concerns due to our current climate of Covid-19. I addition, the sale rep and a nasty disposition and did not treat me as a value customer. No option for zero stars. Only rent here if you have no other city choice. Did not have truck I reserved had to take a van, but did not get the mileage cost adjustment promised for having to take more moving trips. Also I waived Collision, but it was put on my card. Van has a giant oil spill in the cargo area. Go someplace else. Tried to follow up with a phone call, they never answer.
Could not use the website to return the van. It didn't work.
This is a pretty sketchy area. I saw 3 rats while I was waiting. The area around there also has a lot of unsavory characters.
