They are very rude. They couldn't find my truck originally I hate to wait over 30 min for a new one. The truck mirror was hanging on by a wire. Then I checked my bank and they charged me another $96 on top of $49 for what? I went 11 miles total? When I called the lady was very rude , wouldn't let me explain the problem just kept telling me to hold on while she figures it out. No call or anything to let what was going on. I would NEVER recommend this uhaul pickup from anyone. Low class and uneducated.

There was nothing wrong with the pick up or drop off location. Both were great and the staff was fantastic at both locations. The Van John husband and wife team were lovely. My experience with uHaul as a whole was absolutely terrible. I understand the idea that the pick up location is not guaranteed. However, I didn't find out that my uHaul pick up location had changed until 24-48 hours before my move. The location was changed by about 10 miles, which in Manhattan can mean about 45 minutes each way. Additionally, the pick up time had changed by 3 hours, making a total change to my moving agenda by 4-5 hours. There was no guarantee the truck would even be ready by my arrival. Were it not for Lewis in the Regional Office, my move would have been an utter disaster. Of everyone I spoke with trying to resolve the pick up location issue, he was the only individual willing to work to solve the problem rather than blame it on "policy" or "operations". I will never rent a uHaul again.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this location and U-HAUL policy in general. I made a reservation online with a drop off in a different location. My reservation was confirmed. Once there, at the pick up location, they told me it wasn't possible to drop off the truck in a different location. So I had to return it to the original pick up location. This cost me 50% more of the total cost of the rental confirmed by U-HAUL online (because of the extra miles I had to drive in order to return it to the original location). I called your customer service and they said that "the reservation I made online was not important and the only important document is the one issued by the pick up location". So, what is your online service for? I will definitely never recommend U-HAUL to anyone, especially since in NYC there are other competitors with better services.

The site claimed they were open till 9 and my pick up location confirmed it. When I got to it at 6:30 they were closed and the lot was locked so I couldn't even do an after hours online drop off. Came back in the am and found out that they weren't even open on sundays let alone until 9:00. Apparently they just park any car in the lot. There was no space for the truck. Tried calling and got no answer.

The staff was very friendly. It took a while to get the truck checked out, although it seemed to be a computer issue more than Lucy; who was otherwise very friendly and helpful. There was broken glass in the bed of the truck.

The people here were so welcoming and accommodating. The signage for where to go in was a little confusing to me but there are a lot of depots in the area so that could be it. But having come here I would come here again. So pleasant!

I cancelled this reservation and rented from Budget and not only received respectful customer service, I also now have a larger truck and unlimited miles in return for less than the UHaul reservation quote. I never would have cancelled this reservation had I received competent and respectful service from the outset. When I rented the truck from UHaul the confirmation email explained someone from the pick up location would call me to confirm the arrangements. I waited a week and when they did not, I called them. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that they never call customers. Then I found out they would be closed the day I planned to pick up the truck. I explained that the online reservation service allowed me to make the reservation and the woman on the phone just repeated over and over "we're closed...we're closed...we're closed" as I was trying to think through what step I should take next. She offered no assistance, she offered no explanation, she did not even offer the the corporate UHaul number so that I could call them and try to sort it out. In every way she was entirely unhelpful. Before I hung up she said, "the corporate office called us and I told them we are closed." When I asked why no one might have alerted me to this she said, "maybe they didn't have a chance yet. We're closed." Pretty delighted that this incompetent service has helped me discover a better company for customer service AND value. Thank you, Budget.
