I was charged $50 as a cleaning fee. I swept out the van and removed all trash. The rubber carpet was dusty and a little mud in the mat tracks. Not worth a $50. And the location would not provide any cleaning implements.

The van had many scratches and hits. When I opened the passenger had a very loud cracking because someone had hit the van side and it was very damaged. At this specific location they tell you that the tank is just over 1/4 of the deposit, however when I get in the van it is already below the 1/4 sign. I drove 12 miles, AC off, normal driving and I when I finished my driving I had to refill the tank with $15.00 (about 2 miles per gallon...) Next time I will ask them to come with me to check the tank when I retrieve the vehicle.

We rented a van online ahead of time, but when we arrived at the location there was no van--or any other vehicle we could take. This is a huge problem that UHaul needs to account for. Luckily, a fantastic employee at the station called a customer to ask if they would delay their rental of a 10' truck so we could do our quick mattress pick up...kudos to this wonderful employee. However, driving a 10' truck and paying the mileage difference for a 10' truck was not what we were signing up for in the first place. At first we were directed to call another location, but they didn't have any trucks at all. More attention needs to be paid to make sure people don't get stranded or stuck paying for and driving larger vehicles because the vehicle they reserved isn't available. An employee mentioned that a customer had failed to return a van...but this is UHaul's problem to figure out, not the customer waiting on a rental. But as far as kindness and the staff goes--they were fantastic. Keep them around and give them raises! They are amazing.

The UHaul on 106 Street made room for us to return the truck so we did not have to drive for an hour in New York traffic to the next closest location. The proprietress was helpful and efficient. Thank goodness it was easier to turn the truck in than it was to rent and drive it.

This place opens from 9 a.m. and the online system allowed me to book at 8 a.m. (practically 24 hours if I recall). The one-hour difference is not much of a big deal, but for your future reference, probably the U-Haul itself should prevent this from happening. The staff there kindly allowed me to use it from 9 a.m. (they opened the store from 8:30 graciously just for me) Also, I wanted to use the closest U-Haul but I could not select that one presumably due to online system errors, which is why I had to go to this place, which turned out to be fine, except for that minor inconvenience that I mentioned above.

I switched location to here but the order for blankets didn't get carried over.

This was my second time renting from here. Employees are skilled at knowing what to do making the process smooth.

Best truck rental experience I can recall. Equipment was available and all ready when I got there and picking it up was quick and painless!

I came to pick up my vehicle on time and they said they had it. When I looked at the paper work they gave me it was someone else’s name and address. I told them that there was a mistake and they just crossed out the persons first name (we had the same last name). Then when I got the truck I realized they had not put the equipment (dolly) in the van. This all would have been fine but when I got the bill the next day they over barged me by 17 miles. Bad customer service and a 30 dollar over charge is why I am giving a one star. I emailed the contact person and have yet to hear back.

Nice people. Good equipment. Fair price. All good

Ordered 6 blankets for moving, but gave me a bag of 3. Didn’t realize until getting to my apartment, when it was too late. When I returned the truck and told them I didn’t get the blankets I ordered, she made a big deal of taking the charge off the bill.

The onboarding process is slightly more cumbersome than necessary. For example, we had already inputted driver's license information when signing up for the rental; however, we had to repeat this process again. I understand some of this may be for security reasons, as you want to make sure the person renting day of is who they say they are. I'd recommend emailing customers the night before and preparing them that mobile check-in will take around 10 minutes, they will need to take a few photos of the odometer, their driver's license (have that prepared), etc... If we had even known ahead of time what this would entail, it wouldn't have seemed like such a big deal. Other than that - smooth process overall. Thanks a lot!

I did not recorded the mileage used but i just don`t think i traveled for 12 miles. I can`t make it certain of how many miles i`d ran but i believe it was a fell less miles than what they charged me. I`m just mention this to let you know that nobody checked it with me by the time i`ve returned the pick up, and this makes it a little strange when it fells that they are overcharging you, even if it`s not too much. This was my travel directions: Pick up on Lexington and 102Th st, went to east 109th st, (first ave) Madson ave with 116th st, east 109th st, (first ave) 90th st and second ave, 135th st Bronx (just after third ave bridge and back to return it, Lexington and 102Th st. 13 min 3,1 milhas via FDR Drive 13 min 3,0 milhas via 1st Avenue 7 min 0,9 milha via E 109th St, 3rd Ave e E 116th St/Luis Munoz Marin Boulevard 6 min 0,9 milha via E 109th St, 3rd Ave e E 115th St.

I'm not understanding these charges, and I'm instructing my credit card company of potential fraud and unrecognizable charges. I've exclusively used U-Haul for the past 4 years, and for future moves I will not. When I picked up the U-Haul keys, the service individual told me "I can leave it parked here and come back later in the evening to drive it." Hours later another individual called me if I could movethe truck due to gasoline truck needing access. When I walked over there, the individual told me I could no longer leave it there, it I had to pay a parking charge. The individual would not tell me his name. And when I called customer service to complain and verify this individual's bona fides, the individual also refused to give the hotline his name. What type of service is that? The whole experience came across as a shakedown. I've never experienced such a thing. Now, I'm looking at my receipt and I don't understand these charges. I was told insurance was $15. So why is it $32? I was told my daily rate was for 24 hours? So why am I charged a rental fee of $39.90? Why am I charged a credit card fee of $2.10. Why am I being charged to make a payment? I want answers, and I'm sure the Consumer Trade Commission will want answers as well.

Great! Brand new vehicle. Tank was less than 1/4 full but was listed as 1/4 full. I showed attendant and she immediately adjusted the paperwork.

The location did not have the dollies I reserved 4 days in advance and never gave me a call before the date of reservation to let me know. This made my moving job incredibly hard and time consuming. The location also charged me for gas when I filled it up last night.

Dolly not on truck, they did not have the blankets ordered then told me I didn’t order them, they charged for mileage it took to drive back to get dolly.
