When I made the online reservation, I planned to pick up the trailer near my location. When I went to pick up the trailer I was told that pickup location was actually an hour's drive away. It was very inconvenient.Mark D.

When I reserved my one-way rental on-line, there was no mention of a mileage limit or per mile overage fee. While signing the contract, the agent mentioned a 114 mile limit and $1.04/mile overage fee. These limits are NOT identified anywhere on the contract and the agent was unable to provide me with any supporting documentation. Since my destination was 150 miles away there was no way to stay within that limit and the reservation system knew my route when I made the reservation. How was the 114 mile limit determined? The agent was unable to modify the contract and her multiple attempts to call UHaul support failed. This went on for an hour while other customers waited. Some left. Meanwhile, my wife was in the car calling UHaul support and had better luck than the agent. She connected with Customer Care who was able to increase the mileage limit +100 miles. That same Customer Care rep, informed us that the the overage fee was $0.40/mile and didn't know where our local agent got the $1.04 figure from. Since there wasn't any supporting documentation, we were pretty confused. 1) Local agents need training 2) Local sites must have backup staff 3) Local agents must have reliable access to UHaul support 4) How milage limits are determined, must be made transparent 5) Milage limits and overage fees must be in the contract AND on the web site during the reservation process. We were on a tight schedule and arrived right when the local office opened. Spending the first 2 hours straightening this out impacted the rest of our day.Don S.

Truck was clean, but the bugs could have been cleaned off the windshield from the previous rental. The gas gauge showed full, but it was not topped off, so it seemed to use a lot of unleaded fuel.THOMAS V.
This was the absolute worst moving experience from uhaul that I have ever had. I WILL be contacting corporate to file a complaint. I will NEVER rent nor will I recommend UHaul again. The return address that is on the contract says Carson City NV, the real place of return was Mound House NV. U-Haul cant even get the address correct. If someone uses U-Haul after reading my notes, then you deserve what is coming to you....VICTOR W.

Unit was reserved at the shell station on North Carson Street for a 7:00 am pick up. Nobody was there, went to main uhaul on Williams Street, they did not have a truck. They sent me out to Mound House 20 miles out of my way but I did get a truck only it was 9:00 am two hours behind schedule. The guy at the shell station was still not there.Brian B.
When we arrived to the drop off location, the lady who attended us was very rude! She had a very sarcastic way of talking to us and I did not appreciate it. She was questioning me on whether I was dropping it off and the right location and telling me that that specific location was a night drop, had we known, we would have left it there the moment we got into town. But instead she felt the need to make a comment saying " well we do not sleep here, we do have houses to go home to at night". I found that very rude. Never again will I use this service.Martin C.

I was originally supposed to pick up a 10-foot truck in north Reno. Then I was told south Reno, then INcline Villge, then finally Dayton, which is about 40 miles away. And I wound up with a 14-foot truck, which ment re-figuring the load and packing so delicate materials would not be damaged due to shifting etc. U-Haul reps were very friendly and courteous - and the truck snafu wasn't entirely their fault - but it was still a major load of additional work at a stressfull time.GEOFF D.
My original contract called to be delivered at All Storage and when I went to deliver the owner said he does not take trailer so he informed me to take it to Comstock and he would call then to let them no, in which he did not. The lady at Comstock was very helpful, he called someone (Uhaul Main Office) to inform them of the problem and offered a extra day which I cannot figure since is was not due until the next day go figure.
