Hi Team, I just wanted to let you know as i have booked 10” uhal truck on 3rd july 2018 and when i went to pick up shopkeeper didn’t check fuel status and mark as full but when i went in parking and checked it was not full so I thought to inform but till the time he closed the shop and didn’t pick my phone but i took a picture for later reference. When i got my bill it charged me $17 for fuel just 15 miles where i have left the vehicle in same fuel status when I inform him like $17 for what then he said $4.5 per gallon we have charged but when fuel status is same then how come you can charge me for fuel, i would like to refund my fuel amount thats all.

I felt cheated. I didn’t ask for any extra equipment when I booked online, but unnecessarily I was charged for a moving equipment which was present in the van I rented. The store in charge had left by the time I noticed it. Unnecessarily I was billed $7+ extra. My pick up time was 5.30 pm, but I was forced to go at 5 as the person wanted to leave early. He was trying to sell me the 10” truck when I had booked 9” van. I knew exactly what I needed, but the person was trying to convince me to rent a 10“ truck and irritated me a lot. Overall it was a very bad experience.

Customer Service Agent/Manager expressed No ability to provide quality, let alone high quality, customer service. Initial greeting in store abrupt, no good morning or thank you for selecting our lication or anything. Just what’s your name, I ne d ypur drivers license & credit card, sign hete and yourvtrucks out back. Didn’t take me to the truck to inspect it just handed me the keys. For teturn was told if returned early to deliver it to lot beside Wendy’s restaurant. Return to be by 8am. Arrived at 7:58 am. Parked truck behind storevin lor where I found it & went to door. Notebon door saying at Wendy’s checking in rentals, dial this mumber and will come to store. Dialed number and told to drive truck around parking lot to Wendy’s by same person who checked me out. Approximately 100 yards distance. I indicated note said he’d come here & I’d already parked truck where I’d found it. Said he’d be over. 15 minutes later I called again; after watching him working around 4 vehicles in Wendy’s lot (no customers present) and by now another Customer waiting in front of store door. That customer saying he’d also now called. Finally Rep “drove” over to the store front. I said I gotta as here to return truck. He acknowledged me and started walking to back of store lot to check-in truck. Again, No I’m sorry for the delay or any other type of greeting. Did say I should have come to Wendy’s lot though. To which I told him “ You said to park there if I was returning truck Early”. He had no reply. Then started truck, took milelage, checked fuel level, opened back and asked if truck was ok Told me amount owed and that receipt would be emailed. I thanked him. He agaiin didn’t thank customer for selecting U-Haul or offer any apology for delay. This Rep. either needs retraining badly or placed in a nnon-customer interface position. I won’t do business here again!

This is no reflection on the location who rented this vehicle to me. There person who had this truck prior to me was a smoker and the inside of the truck stunk terribly of cigarette smoke. These trucks should be non smoking, you can not imagine sitting in a closed cab that smelled like an ash tray.

My comments have nothing to do with the person working at this site. He was friendly and helpful. Here is my experience: 1. U-Haul internal website and app down. Gentlemen had to take down information by hand. He did so and got me out the door in spite of technical glitches. 2. My truck’s a/c did not work...in fact the fan did not work. 3. Once we loaded and my son followed he said the brake lights and blinkers did not work. 4. While loading I got a call saying I took the wrong truck. I was told that, while it wasn’t my fault, I had to return the truck. Well, it was full of my son’s belongings. So he asked when we could have it back. We hustled and I got it back one hour before I told him we could...all-in-all I rented the truck for 24 hours but had it back in less than 5. 5. When I brought it back the gentlemen told me that there was something wrong with the truck that it could take a different truck’s keys and start. 6. So, I felt like I had done something wrong—though the gentlemen told me it was not my fault which I knew—by taking the ‘wrong’ truck. And most importantly for the safety of those around me as well as mine, the lights did not work...that could have resulted in a serious accident. While the fan and a/c did not work at all, at the end of the day, that does not compare to the light situation. 7. Again, I am not faulting the gentlemen with whom I dealt. I just think it is a major oversight on someone’s part to have a truck go out that is in that kind of condition...let alone it had all kinds of garbage in the cab, though the trailer part was very clean. I hope this has been helpful. I will reiterate one more time that the gentlemen at the store was friendly and helpful and a bit stressed with no internal website or app working. Felt badly for him.
