The 6x12 trailers could be more user friendly if they provided a better strapping system. These larger trailers might often be used for business purposes in moving larger materials, and a ratcheting strap attachment system would be very helpful. Currently, a nylon ratchet strap is somewhat difficult to feed through the small slots in the oak sideboards. An E-Track system would be perfect for space saving yet likely too cost prohibitive, but recessed eyelets within the sideboards would be easy to attach ratcheting-strap hooks.

I was sent the wrong pickup location which made us late for our appt. with movers to help load trailer. Very stressful.....would not recommend to family and friends.

A very clean location, the office is outside of the secured site. Once paperwork is complete you go to where the inventory is stored. When I went, there were at least three associates working. I felt more like a friend than a customer.

You mislead people, Uhaul! I looked up the truck information online and knew the truck got about 10 miles to the gallon. I know that can vary with wind and climbs, but I did not get close to 170 miles, when it was on E. I was told by the check out person and on the contract that the tank takes 17 gallons to get to 3/8 full and that the total tank takes 40 gallons to fill. However, the tank went to almost E after 120 miles and when I put in 30 gallons it was almost full. First, it was dangerous that if I had not come to a gas station in 130 or so miles, I would have run out of gas and second, you falsely lead people into over filling before drop off. The extra gas cost me about $20.00. Unfair!!

Kathy was excellent in explaining the options available and recommending the size of vehicle needed. She executed the transaction quickly when we arrived and made the rental experience very customer-focused. We felt like Kathy really cared about us as customers. We will recommend this location to our friends. Scott

Dear Uhual: This is probably my last move with you. Because I can stand alot of things by a lie ain't one of them. You say you can book anywhere, but that is a LIE! I made reservation weeks in advance. On the day I picked up the trailer you called me HOURS after I'd picked it up and loaded it and was on my way, to tell me that I could not drop it off at the location I'd reserved! Instead you wanted to route me 100 miles out of my way (one way) in the winter in the mountains of Colorado. When I called the local site that I'd reserved as my drop off location, they told me that they have this problem every year with Uhaul and that the local site KNEW they can't take trailers in the winter! But corporate Uhaul still lets folks book them as a drop-off location. So the end result is I ended up making a 200 mile round-trip OUT OF MY WAY to return the trailer. This took 6 hours of my time. Uhaul credited my move $50 but that does not begin to cover the inconvenience. BE WARNED call the local site you want to book and confirm with them. Regional Dispatch from Denver was less than friendly and didn't seem to get the fact that mountain roads are often not open during the winter. I am profoundly honked off and will do anything I can NOT to use Uhaul ever again, and will share my experience with others. The folks at Montrose, where I had to re-route and drop off said, they see a lot of this. Luckily local site folks were friendly, but corporate Uhaul needs some customer service training and to evaluate their false advertising. Sincerely, Pissed off on the Western Slope
