I had booked the trailer on line approximately 2 weeks before I needed it. The location (not the one listed above) called me as a courtesy to say the trailer was booked by head office and has not been returned. I was devastated as I needed the trailer. Uhaul never called me to advise me of this. I called Uhaul to see where I could find a trailer and I had to go 50 minutes out of my way, the original location was only 10 minutes away. I was not impressed or happy that we had to go that far out of our way. The previous location followed up later in the afternoon to see if I received a call yet and he wanted to see if I found another trailer - he was excellent - definitely not his fault with the fiasco.

We brought yhe truck back late Sat.afternoon.We did,nt know there hours,so we had to drop the keys and the contract in box outside the office.We,ll have to call Wighty,s to know if everything was saticefactory with him

A U-Haul van is definitely the way to move. No worry about rain/snow to damage furniture. No need to tarp. We were threatened with rain all the time we were loading and unloading, but, never saw a drop. The van was very clean, ran smoothly, no problems whatsoever. The gal helped me throughout the whole rental experience - I would definitely recommend Whighty's Repairs shop in Mitchell on Hwy #8 west, for renting your U-Haul through. Happy Moving with U-Haul !

I rented a uhaul for April 22nd 9am...on the phone with Sherry in Listowel office. When we arrived to pick it up...we were told that our time was changed (BY THE UHAUL COMPANY) to 4pm. Told that I was notified of the change by text...and email and I WAS NOT NOTIFIED of any such change. If I had...I would have called as 4pm did NOT work for me. I had people in one location hired to load the truck and others on the other end to unload. These people were working afternoons and unable to help...so although they were paid....I had to scramble to find others and it ended up costing me an additional $100. I was NOT IMPRESSED to say the least...and can't imagine how Uhaul would think that changing from 9am to 4pm would work for anyone moving when people are lined up. If I didn't reply to the email or text that I DIDN"T receive, don't you think the company should have contacted me again to ensure I was aware? Soooo disappointed in how it was handled....however, Sherry who says this does happen from time to time, was helpful in setting up the Mitchell location .... but then, that was also out of the way to pickup. Sherry told me that there was nothing she could do....but I needed to contact the company. I am ASKING for a reply to this situation....if you want to take responsibility to YOUR mistake. This survey indicates you care about public relations....so I guess I'll see if you do, by responding.

Not a fan of the "return the tank as you found it" policy. I probably overspent by $25 on gas (filled it up then did my trip, and had 1/4 more left over).
