The truck leaked oil in my driveway of the house I just bought. The location was not the right location of my original pick up location. Gave me a free day which made up for the inconvenience. Very Appreciated. Then after putting gas in the truck to where it was on the gas gauge which was not the same as what was on paper. I was agonna be charged a $28 fee for not putting gas in it. Luckily I had the receipt in my pocket from the gas station dated and time moments befor the drop off. Other then the leaky truck, accusation of gas, the pick up location inconvenience and the under powered truck. Reasonable price and reasonable people to deal with.

My truck was very noisy and old. The location was great and had good service but the truck I received was not satisfactory. It seemed like it was very old and had rust all over the trunk.

The lady at Matheson that helped us was super accommodating. She really went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. I was originally suppose to pick up the truck at the royal windsor location. When I arrived I was told my truck had been moved to the Matheson location. This was a huge set back on our day. Thankfully after a heated discussion we were given a $50 credit... but the costumer service at Royal Windsor was not very accommodating. Definitely going to think twice before booking with Uhaul again.



The truck was not running good. No windshield washer. Fuel is on”7/16” level. Is this measureable? It should be full tank to full tank to be easy and precise. Only upside is the staff is nice.

The truck was extremely dirty , looked like no one cleaned for a year. Dissatisfaction at the drive too, very noisy. We got the job done but the truck could have been cleaner and less noisy . The lady at the counter was perfect at her job and kind to let us use the washroom.



The vehicle not cleaned prior to the next customer taking it. A coffee cup was left inside the truck from someone else. Also, washer fluid was not spraying. No indication that it was empty... it just did not work.

Quick and easy. An unforeseeable logistics problem meant I had to return the truck much later, after the office had closed, and was not able to self sign in either. I called them the next morning and they said they had already taken care of it all.



The customer service rep here is miserable. You should not have someone like this representing your company. Very cold. No where to be found when we returned the vehicle. I believe overcharged us for the gas aswell.

All the info that I provided when booked online was completely disregarded by the desk person and I had to provide all the info again. Unprofessional and time wasting.

I drove the truck for 8km and ended up paying $12 because the truck wasn't full. When I told the rep that it's supposed to be 1.45 per litre she said the system charges automatically. Fairly ridiculous and spoiled the experience.



The GM called and ensured that the truck I was taking was the one being dropped off in Hamilton- he called a number, waited on hold for a Uhaul rep and was confirmed I was dropping this truck in Hamilton. We left, packed and moved myself and I recieved a text from Uhaul saying my drop off was in Etobicoke. I called but waited too long and then I went on online chat. First time no one responded to me - the second time I chatted with Karen who also said I was to drop it off in Etobicoke. This morning I dropped it off where MY RESERVATION stated. On the contract I was given I did see it says Etobicoke drop off but I had no issues dropping it off. Originally I made the booking to PICK UP in Etobicoke and DROP OFF in Hamilton. My pick up location was changed to Mississauga, which accounted for the extra mileage I had to pay - no biggie. My issue was that I had no help from Karen online chat - she said call the office in the AM. She said that the truck I had in my possession was never picked up. No, get your shit together Uhaul. The GM at this location was very nice however and gave me his number in case anything went wrong. I didn't end up calling him because I thought since UHAUL sent me this text, I will deal with them not just his location.

I booked a 15' truck on the U-Haul website at a MUCH closer location to my house, but a rep called me to tell me no trucks were available at that location, and the closest one is approximately 10km away, which adds up when I had to pay for the mileage. When I tried to get clarification about why the website showed this location as having availability, the rep wasn't communicative and quite abrupt with her answers. When I arrived at this location, the staff said the rep (from over-the-phone) didn't transfer my booking properly because it showed that I wanted the $15 insurance, when I opted out of insurance during my booking. He did not know how to remove it from the system, and called the U-Haul call centre, and the lady on the phone with him was quite rude and told him not to call her since there were many phone calls, and she should just use the in-system chat. He told her the customer (me) was in front of him and he wants to make sure I get speedy service, but the lady was adamant that he hangs up and chat with with her via the system. U-Haul has always been my go-to, but after this experience, I'd rather rent a truck from Home Depot since they provide much better customer service and do not cheat customers with their online bookings.
