I was charged for damage to the truck that I did not create. Neither employee at the pickup/dropoff location did a walk-around to check for damage. The person inside the Truvalue dropoff location simply told me to give her the key and that everything was good. I asked her if I needed to do anything, get any paperwork, do a walkthrough, etc. She said no and that all I had to do was give her the key and then I'd get an email saying everything was good. However, this location then charged me over $200 for damage that I am 100% certain I did not cause any damage. I got the impression that since I declined insurance they just decided to peg me as the sucker that they could charge for previous damage/create damage to make more money. I tell everyone to expect this kind of fraud when renting and to ensure they take video/pictures of everything so they have it well documented both before and after renting the truck.

On line check-in malfunctioned. Every time I tried to submit the picture, it gave me an error that I needed to submit a more recent picture.

I had a question about the truck having a mechanical problem,the engine light and the light that showed you were towing something would come on all the time. I wanted to ask someone about it and the operators referred me all over the place and then I was put on hold.My question was never answered,the truck worked well, so we kept on using it. Upon return of truck some one suggested it was a qulich in the computer system that made those lights go on.

I can't really blame True Value, because they a lot of trouble getting my reservation confirmed. I believe it was on the Uhaul end of things. I had prepaid everything on online, but it still took 30 minutes to process the paperwork - Way Too Long!!!

The store seemed to be understaffed. Agitated customers, stressed clercks. Young cashiers that couldn't answer questions. I don't blame the store as much as U-HAUL. You have to train employees so they can handle all the questions involved in the process of renting from you. I think the low scores I've posted are not indicative of the overall way the store is operated and treats their customers. True Value has always been helpful.

The staff was not very polite and acted as if we were an interruption of their day. When keying in my personal information the staff member was saying my confidential information out loud as he was keying it in. Not professional at all.

Employee said, "Drop the key on the counter and we will email you the bill." No hello, how was the move?, any problems with the truck? There was no grace period on the return of the truck, automatic "extra day with extra fees" charge. Not a great drop off experience.

Be little more honest with your customer, I've been told to bring back truck in 24 hours. N I brought back on time. But still you charge me $136.79. Which included $28.00 for insurance, 39.95 for 24 hours truck rent, inveronment fee $2.00, tax $7.14 and $18.96 for 20 something miles drove.. which all total supposed to charge me no more then $100. Please be honest and need more trained to your costumer service people .. they was so disrespectful with me in phone. Sucks
