We were charged 3x the mileage we actually drove and because the man that rented it to us didn't go and check beforehand there was nothing we could do. It also took an hour to rent and an hour to return. This was completely unacceptable! I will not be back to uhaul again!

It took an hour to get my vehicle picked up and to drop off. The cashier stops to check out everybody that comes in, turn on gas pumps, watch people in the store, leave counter to show customers where things are etc. The uhaul rental is done on his laptop computer so it's whenever he can click a button between customers. Very frustrating and we have use this location twice just to see if it was the same way. Will never use this one again.

This experience was horrible! I was specific in asking for Skyland location, they sent me to Brookwood they were not opened at 7 or 8am like the operating hours say. Then the customer service lady sent us to Woodstock 30 miles away. We finally got the rental and the left tail signal/ break light was out! Finally had everything done in Tuscaloosa and had to return it back in Mccalla 30 min away. I thought I would save money by renting your tow but spent More Time and Money. It was awful today talking to a rep in Florida that had no idea of local vendors.

U haul should probably stop giving away trucks that people have reserved months in advance in an effort to make additional profits. It is incredibly frustrating to get to a location and be told that your reserved and confirmed truck is unavailable and instead be offered something else entirely that does not fit your needs.

Friendly clerk, but the equipment needed to be cleaned and maintained. I had to replace the wiring harness during the rental period with my own money due to a wiring short.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. This location was not the location I selected and was actually 30ish miles away. When I got there, the personnel hooked up a trailer to my vehicle and had me pay. After I left, I realized that the man had given me the wrong size trailer. I called back and he said that's all he had, even though Uhaul had told me that I had to drive all of the way out there to get the right size. I called Uhaul's customer service and they said there was nothing I could do. I was stuck with a smaller trailer, not all of my stuff fit, but I paid the price of the larger trailer! It was the most miserable thing and I will not be using Uhaul again.

The gentleman at the counter was rude, did not want to help me. The car dolly had 1 light that did not work, straps were frayed and one side was held on with zip ties. When I told the attendant about it he said it will be fine and walked away. If I was not desperate I would have went somewhere else. Honestly I did not think that U-Haul conducted business like that. The customer service person had none of my information in the computer, so it took 30 minutes to reload it. Then, when we went outside, a mechanic had the car dolly wheel taken apart, which took another 30 minutes to fix and caused us a total delay of 1 hour. This was on top of the hour delay due to the pick-up location being 30 minutes from the one I requested. Terrible experience. I will not use U-Haul again,

Did not help with hooking up the trailer after I asked. And the lights had a short and flashed every time I hit a bump in the road. I also could not understand a word the foreign gas station attendant said.

I had reserved, or so I thought, a 5X9 van trailer in Tuscaloosa, AL over the phone. When I got there, the van was actually just an open trailer which is not what I had asked for. The girl working said the person who had made the reservation had done the same thing several times. So, I ended up having to drive North 30 minutes to McCalla to pick up a van trailer. There was no issue there, but the whole situation in Tuscaloosa was very upsetting. I tried calling the 800 Go Uhaul to complain and never could get to speak with a real person. The clerk at the Tuscaloosa office said she had screenshot my reservation and felt I should be reimbursed for the mistake at the call center. Please advise on how I can go about this further. Thank you.

This was the WORST experience renting I have ever had. My father and I spent >90 minutes in a tiny, run-down, dump-of-a-store to rent a truck which I was told was ready/reserved. The first 60 minutes were spent with the clerk stating that you (corporate U-Haul) had made an error and that no truck was available. Only after I pointed out that there were two trucks in the lot did he decide to start a 'new' rental process and rent a truck for me. Had I made a special request for the oldest, smelliest, dirtiest broke-ass truck in the great State of Alabama, you would have met all of my wishes. Seriously - the thing puffed black smoke the entire trip. My fiance' couldn't 'follow' us in her car because the fumes were too intolerable. F+

This location is a small, dirty Exxon (gas station) with one employee. For every customer who entered the business, my "transaction" was put on hold while the employee rung up the other customer. The attendant had to ask ME where I was returning the truck, because he was unable to access the information. I was told that the truck had a "full" gas tank, It was not. I took a picture of the gas guage and left the site, happy to be out of there. The truck cab was filthy. I immediately drove to the U-Haul (a real one) dealership at Skyline Blvd, in Tuscaloosa where I originally scheduled a pick up. They adjusted the contract for the gas, cleaned the truck, and provided the pads that I had requested when I made the "reservation". It turns out that my "reservation" for a truck with U-Haul is not really a "reservation", but a request. I am most upset with U-Haul for not providing a truck as arranged and for having a sub-par "dealership". The people at the SKYLINE dealership actually saved my day. The outfit where I picked up the truck should be closed or transferred to another location nearby (there is a Love's GAS station nearby). I probably should file an objection with U-Haul for what I had to put up with at this location! I certainly would consider Budget or Penske in the future!

The owner was completely unhelpful. Did nothing to help- once we figured out how to hook it to our truck and hitch, only the left light worked on the trailer. We were just given the option to cancel even though we were 300 mikes away from home.

The clerk was very nice but not helpful at all. It was pouring down raining and we went into the gas station to pay for the trailer and provide the needed information, that was as much as he helped us! He told us to put the trailer onto the car (there was no levy or jack so my boyfriend and I had to lift it together onto the car hitch) and we had to do the wiring ourselves. The trailer didnt have the wiring extender that connects it from the trailer to the car wiring. So my boyfriend, in the pouring down rain, had to go under the car and loosen the car wiring by cutting zip ties (that Uhaul in tuscaloosa installed!) in order to get the wiring connected. We were exhausted, wet, and unhappy with this experience.
