The uhaul location I requested had nothing in inventory so I'm not sure why it would even be noted on the search for equipment. The location I ended up at in Manchester is again fantastic. (I've used that location before) The service at pickup was exceptional. My experience was tainted by that of uhaul in general though adding on 26 miles to my pick up and drop off since you can not keep your locations stocked with what you advertise. I will seek out alternatives based on that inconvenience.

I am not happy with your gas charging methodology. I drove 30 miles. I put $5 of gas into the van (just under 2 gallons). You charged me an extra $5 when I returned it for gas. It is impossible and unfair to accurately read a gas gauge and determine that I returned the van with less gas than it had when I picked it up. Everything else was fine, but I was charged $5 too much.

It was sub zero outside and I went to pick up our 10' truck at our scheduled 8:30am time. We got there and had to wait about 15 minutes for the customer in front of us, because there was only one person working. No big deal. When we it was our turn, we did the paperwork and went outside with him to the truck to verify the gas mileage. The truck wasn't where his paperwork stated, it was off on the side, covered in ice. I asked him if my daughter and I could go back inside and wait, he said sure. We went inside and he pulled the truck up to the door and put the defrost on. I asked if he could scrape the windows so we could go, because we had people coming to help us move, but he said they didn't have any scrapers, people stole them. Then he went and helped the next customer. I waited another 10 minutes, walked out to check the truck and there was still a good half inch of ice on the window *mind you, no other truck in the lot had ice on it.* I came back inside and waited for him to finish with the customer and said that he may have to give us a different truck because we had already been there a half hour and really needed to go. He said that was the only truck he had and we'd have to wait. Then he said he could "try" to find a scraper. He opened a door and came out within seconds and scraped only enough of the window for me to see out at eye level. The wiper blades were still covered in ice and I had to drive home with my 7 year old like that. I have pictures because of how ridiculous I thought it all was. Horrible customer service and I can't recommend it to anyone.

One thing that I did not like was that when I got in the truck it had chunks of ice and snow all over the hood and windshield, and then when I got the trailer the ramps was covered in ice and snow with no way to clean it off and made it so much more difficult trying to load and unload the vehicle on and off the trailer. Also on the trailer the straps was all rusted and didn’t want to work. Also I wasn’t happy with the price for the short amount of time I used the trailer I only agreed because I needed to move a car that night. Yes I will use I haul again when I move and need a truck but idk if I will ever get another trailer from you it was too expensive for equipment that didn’t work right. But the lady who was helping me was nice and that’s why I’d use uhaul again if I really needed too

Staff does not tell you how to return uhaul after hours. I returned uhaul and then after realized I needed to go online and make an account and sign out. I just dropped off the keys.

The staff was horrible. The truck was on E, I reserved the truck a week ago but when I got there they started the truck.. the day I got the truck was a bad ice storm. The window had a huge thick layer of ice on the windshield. I had to take a brush out my pocketbook to scrap the window a little so I could drive the truck to my car across the parking lot to get my ice scraper. The truck should have been warmed up due to the fact that I made the reservation a week ago. The staff was very rude, and when I brought the truck back they had over charged me. I will never go to Oakland Street in Manchester ct again for a U-Haul truck it will I recommend any of my friends or family.

I will never use uhaul again. This location is the worst ever! I paid cash in Greenfield because their credit card machine was broken. I was expecting a cash refund of $100. When I got to Oakland st location, they told me they cannot refund cash because they would only be left with a little bit of cash left. That is bullshit. They offered to send a check in the mail in 7-10 Days. Wtf! Never again

The online reservation was easy and clear. The staff in the store were polite, knowledgeable, and professional. While standing in line, the young woman at the desk was fielding a phone call from an irate customer who was swearing at her -- she was very polite to the angry woman, even when the woman called back after she had calmed down. This same young woman handled our check-in and processing --- efficient, friendly, professional. The young man who checked over the van when we returned was the same. Great experience all around.
