Although return business was closed, the staff at the U-Haul 800 number walk me through the check in process over phone and help me check in truck.

I was told one price (after tax) and then charged 40 dollars more on my card after it was picked up. I can afford it, but to be told one price and then charged another is very poor business. Needless to say I will no longer use the services of U-Haul.

I preordered straps, Dolly’s and pads. They didn’t have any on hand and when the truck was delivered, no one bother to check to make sure everything that I ordered was there. Very disappointed and it made the move very difficult as well as a couple of very sore backs.

1. If you want car haulers etc. dropped in the middle of the night, you should offer a safe theft free place to do it. We would have dropped it Tuesday evening but when we got there we were afraid that it would be too easy for someone else to steal it. So even though we haven't used it since Monday we kept it. 2. The car hauler hitch was old and exhausted. It had difficulty connecting and disconnecting from the hitch. 3. The truck itself was a pain and slowed our progress. We lost power steering and at one time the break alarm was going off. Not a safe situation especially on these country roads. 4. We put at least 6 bottles of transmission fluid in that truck and we spoke to someone at M&R Feed regarding it both Monday and Tuesday. We still ended up not going over 40 mph. As if we weren't tired enough, nope we were estatic to be able to lose more sleep because it was going to take extra long for the drive. 5. If someone wants to continue to use the equipment you should be upfront about the costs. we were told that it would be $40 extra day. We were not told that we were going to be charged for extra insurance or that even though it was dropped off prior to the 8am (earliest it could possibly be rented back out) we would be charged yet another day.



Lacking customer service skills..They did not speak when we came in and weren't friendly at all.
