Assign pickup location requested, especially when that location has the equipment requested and is closer to customer location.
Did not receive the pads I purchased.
I had a confirmed contract stating that I was picking up at 9:00 am. I arrived at 9 and called the number on the front of store and the guy showed up at 10:00 with no apology. He was a complete jerk! He was not wearing a mask and when we dropped off at a different location mo masks on the clerk either. Completely dissatisfied with uhaul and will never ever use them again. Even if the rental truck was free!!
I arrived early and did the mobile check in. Nothing. Nobody was around to help me, the business was supposed to be open but nope. I sat on the phone for 30 minutes until I was told "It's still due at 2 and I have to transfer you to customer service if you have a problem." I lost almost an hour that I paid for because the site wasn't working, I called and nobody was helpful (I had an extremely rude representative speak with me on the phone). Finally i sat on the phone for a long time and got my code to get the keys. Then I had to return it at the same time, brought it back early and then got an email saying i did the return wrong. I will not be using this again. Very irritated.
Drop off was horrible. No one there, no answer when I called. Your web site self checkout is cumbersome and frustrating. It is bad enough that if I had other options for renting a trailer, I would use them instead. Sorry - I wish I could be more positive because the actual trailer was excellent.
The guy at the pickup location was so wonderful! He went over everything with us and helped to ensure everything was hooked up properly. Great customer service!
Guy at office super nice and very helpful. Came out and explained features of car dolly. Also helped make sure the lights and blinkers all worked.
Make sure customers can only select drop off options that are approved. Uhaul called me and told me I couldn't actually return my U-Haul to the original location I chose and switched me to this one.
Uhaul website said I could get the car with just my phone at 9:30, then upon arrival told me I had to wait until 10:30 for the storefront to open. Luckily it was incorrect on the timing and I only had to wait half an hour until 10.

I reserved the truck several weeks in advance for 8:30 am pickup. Only the day prior to pickup did Stuff N Store contact me saying they don't open until 10am. I was a real inconvenience trying to contact Stuff N Store to get the code for the Key Lock Box.
Pick up location was switched last minute when I requested a specific location closer to where I needed to be. Transport the trailers to the correct location when there are reservations ahead of time.
Arrived at 4 pm. It was closed. Hours said it closed at 4:30 pm. I had to walk to the back of the store to meet a random guy who said he worked for the store ( i had no idea if he did). Gave him the keys and that was it. Didn't have to sign any paperwork. Was shady and sketchy.
The app was being a bit difficult to use. Not sure if it was tha app or my phone but it kept crashing. I couldnt pickup or drop of the truck. The person at the location was very helpful. He did all the check in and return for me.

Make sure the "passcode" that allows you to access the key to the equipment is accurate. The passcode I was given through the online portal was Dane while the lockbox required a number configuration.
Elliott at this location went above and beyond to help me find a truck for the weekend. I tried calling other U-haul's in the area and all said they didn't have a truck available. Elliott asked to give him time to look around the area and he'd call me back. He called within 5 minutes and said he found one and would have it at his location at the time we needed. He e-mailed me the contract and took care of everything else. What a pleasure working with someone who cares about his customers.
Wish they delviery the equipment to the customers house that would make the Uhaul even more awesome!!
Online experience didn't work, couldn't get past step 1 of 8, unclear what identification was necessary, but crew had all my information when I first ordered it, they left truck ready for me to take, returned it no problem, got the job done. Overall great, but self-pickup via online could be a little simpler/user-friendly. Thanks, would still recommend to others:)
Truck was not cleaned. We were given a phone number to call if we had trouble picking up the truck at night and they never answered nor did they call back. It was a truly terrible experience and I will not rent from you as long as this location is affiliated with you.
I had made a reservation for a one-way rental for July 2 from Madison to Minneapolis for an 8am pickup. I made the arrangements in the office. When I arrived, the office was closed. The truck which was supposed to be available for a one-way rental was not available. Ultimately, I was told that the truck that I rented needed to be returned to Madison, doubling my mileage, doubling my gas usage, and nearly doubling my cost. I was never notified that I'd need to go to a different location for a truck or that the truck I'd agreed to rent would not be available. I was on a time constraint so did not have time to make alternate arrangements on the morning of my move. Poor communication after which my moving costs were doubled.
I had ordered moving equipment, including furniture pads, a regular dolly, and a furniture dolly, none of which were present when I picked up my truck. I had to sit on hold for 10 minutes to talk to someone to get the charges for the missing equipment taken off my bill. Also, the instructions for picking up your equipment are not clear. The instructions to pick up the truck didn't show up until the day of the pickup, and I almost missed the fact that I had to go through the whole process because I wasn't told I had to do so. The only reason I checked the UHaul website that day was because my equipment was missing. There should be instructions stating that on the day of your move, you have to go into your account and follow the directions to pick up the truck.
