I spent over 1 1/2 hours in picking up my truck. Over 30 minutes when I returned it and they couldn't get the paperwork done and 45 minutes the next day in which I finally gave up and left without my paperwork. Another customer had a similar experience while I was there the 3rd time and gave up on trying to get their account worked out. Most frustrating experience in years which isn't needed when you have the stress of moving

Went 2 days before pick up to make sure everything was ready. They did not have my reservation in their system even though I made the reservation 2 months prior via the Uhaul system and named them my pick up location. They did go get my truck and it worked out though.

The pick up process was a little hectic. I checked yes to self signing in to skipping the line but it didn't matter so that's disappointing. But the truck was very clean and in great shape. The process was easier enough, just wish I hadn't thought the pick up would be so quick because it threw off my timeline.

- Supplies ordered in advance (furniture pads) and supplies guaranteed on Uhaul's website (tie down straps) were unavailable. When asked repeatedly, staff was provided alternatives (bubble wrap, tie down straps), but didn't express any concern about the inconvenience - Furniture dolly was not in car so I had to make a second trip back to get it, was initially told they didn't have one (then they found one) - Staff seemed to have trouble initially finding reservation which was time consuming - To be fair, staff was pleasant at all times and generally helpful (especially when, on the second visit, I was getting stressed) but overall the organization and customer service orientation was totally lacking - General feedback for UHaul - that $19.99 price is about 10x the size font of the tiny ($0.85/mile) placed next to it, which almost constitutes it as a hidden fee. Please write clearly what it is upfront - felt like a bit of a bait and switch because I only had to enter the mileage when I was checking in for the car, not at reservation.

I found this location by going through the U-haul nationwide number. I told the lady I was hauling material that was exactly 12' long. She said a 15' truck will work. It did NOT work. The floor of the box truck measured 11' 11 1/2". The material did not fit. This error caused me to make two tripS which cost me extra money in mileage rental, gas and labor for my helper. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The location manager did what he could to accommodate us, so I have no complaints with him. The steering on the truck was very loose and needed repair. I booked a truck 2 weeks in advance for 1way. I was told a u-haul rep would contact me to confirm details. They never did. Upon checking the day before my pickup location had changed. But I never received an email informing me of this. Upon arrival, despite my early reservation, I was told I could not have a 1 way truck as reserved. Why was I not informed of this when I booked??? I was very very displeased with the u-haul company and will never rent a truck from them again. The Margate BP was as helpful as possible though.

The man at the location was THE NICEST person I've come across in a long time. The 800 number person gave me all the wrong info. The truck was not a 24 hour rental and I messed everyone's day up Bc I had to keep the truck longer. They gave me a lot of bad Information. The only reason I gave any stars is that the BP location was so nice about it.

I arrvived to return the truck at 5:55 p.m. on 4/1/17 at Margate BP but the truck was due back at 5:37, per the agreement. I gassed the truck up at this facility, to patronize his business when there's 1 gas station directly across the street (you actually have to pass it to get to the BP) and there are 3 gas stations one block before getting to the BP, at YorkRoad and Seminary Avenue. Once I pulled on the lot, bought gas and began backing the truck into a parking space, the cashier from the business walked onto the lot and began asking me if I had called the manager. It was hard for me to understand him (there appeared to be a minor language barrier) so when I finished backing into the parking space and got out of the truck, I met him between where the truck was parked (close to Margate Road) and the convenience store. He again asked me if I had called the manager but never said why I needed to call the manager. When I asked why I needed to call the manager, he told me that I needed to call the manager because I was leaving a truck on their lot. I told him I had a one way rental and that I would get the contract to show him. As I did this, the cashier walked into the building and was waiting at the counter for me. I handed him my contract and he dialed a number on the land line/business phone. He hung up and said he couldn't reach the manager. I told him it didn't matter because of the contract and that I needed to be on my way. A minute or so later the cashier looked into the computer, said something to the effect that he had found the rental and that I owed him $43.20. I told him I had paid for the truck in New Market and asked for an explanation of the charges. He told me he didn't know what the charges were for, but that the computer said I owed $43.20. I protested these charges with him (not understanding why I was being charged) and he called someone using a cell phone from his pocket. He spoke with the man briefly on the phone and then tried to hand the phone to me. I told him I didn't need to speak with anyone else, I needed to know - from him - why he was charging me $43.20. The cashier said he didn't know why I was being charged - so I walked out of the store and began to leave the parking lot. The cashier followed me out to the car and asked me to speak with the manager. I took the phone and spoke with a man who identified himself as the manager, who said that since I was late returning the truck, I owed $43.20. I told him that I was only 15 minutes late and that he was being unreasonable. I explained that I even bought gas from him and had spent some time - before he was called - speaking with the cashier about the situation, which inflated the time that I was "late". He told me that he had to charge me, so I left the store - though I also told him I didn't agree with him. On 4/2/17, while out at dinner with my wife, she received a phone call from T. The entire process was easy and efficient. I received a new cargo van (<7000 miles) which was neat and clean and had modern conveniences like a rear-view backup camera. The manager was very polite and made sure all charges were explained clearly. I would highly recommend using this U-Haul and I'll definitely be using it anytime I need a truck.
