The 6x12 trailer was missing the hitch wheel. This made it extremely difficult to lift it onto the ball hitch. It was VERY heavy. If an injury occurred while lifting, it could mean a law suit. Installing a hitch wheel would be much cheaper.

Location was difficult to find. No signage from the street. Also, there were no signs or indications on where to park the truck after hours.

I drove an hour and a half to get to the location of my reservation. Once I got there, the location itself was not open. I continuously call the number on the building (no one answers). Guys from the mechanic shop next door (same owner) were calling the owner trying to figure out what to do. This owner will not call me or answer my phone calls, however he will communicate with the guys from the shop. The Uhaul company told me to call Kevin the area manager at 512-523-3112. I called Kevin multiple times and he never picked up or called back. It's been 3 days now and Kevin still has yet to call me back. After an hour and a half, a mechanic was walked through the process of completing my reservation. Initially he was on the phone with the employee who was supposed to be there working. I requested a free dolly rental because not only did I do the pre-reservation online to expidite when I came in, I had been out in the sun waiting for an hour because no one was there. Although it was nothing but a $10 rental, this was an opportunity to atleast show some form customer service. She quickly denied my request.. Infact, she never even apologized. The mechanic eventually had to call and have a rep from uhaul to walk him through the process. I then spoke with this lady and requested a free dolly. She told me that she would throw in a free dolly rental. Once I got back home, I realized that I was infact charged for the dolly.. Also, while I was initially reserving the truck, uhaul offered me a $50 discount to drop it off at a particular location (which was out of my way). Turns out that I was only given a $40 discount as oppose to the $50. So I drove to Louisville for my reservation and arrived at a closed location, the owner will not answer my calls (and is aware of the issue), the area manager will not answer (and still hasn't returned the call), I waited and hour and a half with my wife and two small children in the car, I was denied a free dolly rental, I told that I was getting a free dolly and was charged $10 for it, and I was not given the discount offered when I agreed to drop off at the requested location. The mechanic, who was going above and beyond his job description was actually awesome and very apologetic. He's the one person who cared and gave great customer service, however he's the one person who was not employed by uhaul. My experience was terrible. If I could've given zero stars I would have.

The truck was dirty and smelled like a ashtray with ashes everywhere. Showed the lady and at first she said it was just use till had her get up in truck to look. I asked her if she can smell the cigarettes and she said no because she is a smoker. Then to charge me for 2 gallons of gas after all that was wrong. No sign to tell you where they are drove past 3 time before I found it. If anything I should have gotten 1/2 off due to the condition of he truck. I will never use that location again and it was not even the one I pick.

did not provide the cord that attaches lights.. never told i would need to supply it. have always had it provided by u haul. was force to go to auto parts store to find day of rental.. disappointed with experience
