Please avoid this location and Uhaul. I reserved a 17' van online a few days before I was moving out. I received an email stating this: "We have a 17' Moving Van and Appliance Dolly reserved for you and guaranteed Saturday, 3/4/2017 at 12:00 PM, returning Saturday, 3/4/2017 at 5:30 PM." I showed up on time only to find out they didn't have the truck they said was "guaranteed"... The lady was everything but helpful. Furthermore, she was rude to me! I was moving out, and I was stressed that I couldn't move out from my old place in time! I'm trying to explain her the situation and then she finally picks up her phone to get other Uhaul dealers and tells me I can have the same truck 9 miles away... That's a lot when you live in Los Angeles and it's a Saturday afternoon. It was now 1 pm and I had to get back by 5:30. So I had to find an alternative. She finally asked me to cancel my first reservation and offered me to rent the 10' truck she had. It was, of course, the only truck left... Well, I initially ordered a 17' because I needed THIS space to complete my moving out in time... I was left with no choice so I took the 10'. Of course we never completed the moving out in time and by the time we were done... the shop was closed. Since the truck wasn't big enough we had to do extra mileage between my old and my new house... I had to go back the next morning and pay extra.. She said she wasn't responsible because she wasn't Uhaul (then who is responsible here?), she made no effort and didn't offer us any discount or apologies... The gas tank was significantly less than half full when I received it, which was not enough to bring me to my destination just a few tens of miles away. I understand that given the small place it is difficult to fill every truck after return, but I expect at least a 2/3 full tank. Especially given that renters who return the car with less than what they received it with pay for the refill, the staff at U-Haul should then do the refill. Other than that the place is good, nice staff, good vehicles.

The staff person who attended me, Ramona, was impatient and a bit rude. My truck had not been returned for my 10 am pickup. I was anxious, she wasn't very helpful.

Windows and mirrors were filthy. Woman at desk was surly and seemed to expect me to know what to do and bristled at simple questions such as my asking if I could return the truck in the evening. She had me check the mileage and fuel. She acted as if the customers were an annoyance interrupting her day. I've never Yelped a negative review. This might be my first. A lot of hassle for a truck I used for a total of 8.9 miles to pick up and move two appliances.

Had difficulties convincing the initial staff handling the vehicle's return that I had replaced the approximate amount of fuel (based on provided mpg of the vehicle) that I had used during the rental; despite having the receipt for the refuel.

The peaople at the office tried to scam me and did not give me the correct amount.. they over charged me and was not very nice when I asked questions on why.. I was very polite and I did not expect to be charged 3x the amount I was told I had to pay over the phone nor did they tell me that they're was a 35.00 surcharge fee

The location was very convenient for me, when I was there it was well laid out, clean and efficient. However, I booked a van for 2pm-7pm on that day - but when I got to the location they told me they closed at 5.30pm so I would have to return the van the next day. This meant I was an hour late for work the next day, had to find a location to store the van for the night (which was very difficult in my area) and was generally inconvenienced. I don't know if this is an issue with your site allowing me to choose options I shouldn't have access to, or with the location not meeting expectations. Either way, I feel it should be addressed.

I just got charged for the entire 24 hours when I brought the truck and dollys back in less than 2 hours! I was REALLY praying for a refund due to the fact that it's raining like we're in FL in April here in Los Angeles! It's so unbelievably rude that the gentlemen wouldn't at least charge me for ONLY 2 hours if not give me a full refund for my trouble! I need a van on Monday! How can I pay for that now?!

When I rented the van, I told the agent in the office that I declined the damage protection. He added the protection after I said no. I signed the agreement without noticing that he had added it. I realize signing without reading that particular part that we discussed seconds before is my failure. But, I didn't expect to have worry about "The Old Switcheroo" being pulled on me. I will explain to others that U-Haul is in the business of charging you for things you decline. I will look elsewhere for rentals, such as the local Enterprise Rent-a-car.
