I called to ask if I can reserve and pay for the Uhaul and have someone else pick it up and drive it. The girl on the phone at central reservations said sure you can. No, no you can't. I find out after renting the truck! The friend of mine that picked up the vehicle had to wait for over an hour after our reservation and would have had to pay for it if I didn't write him a letter authorizing charges, give him my credit card and a copy of my DL. This was NEVER mentioned when I made the reservation. Also, my friend rented a truck the day before and had free milage...I had to pay 1.09 a mile. I asked the guy at the store on the phone, when he called to confirm my reservation, why I have to pay for miles when my friend didn't and he said they must have rented from a different location and had a special and he didn't have specials at his location. Really? How nice. So, I'm moving in a month or so, I will NOT be using Uhaul as my rental company on my next move.

Attendant made me put more gas into the vehicle even though I returned it with exactly 1/4 tank of gas, causing me to rack up more mileage. Attendant also forgot to give us items we bought for move but he deducted from bill.

no after hours drop off, super rude customer service. dropped off the van half an hour late due to traffic & work and offered to pay a late fee, but the worker kept calling and shouting at me. and a "cleaning fee" that I was not told of was charged.

It was very difficult to access the storefront. Maybe it should be indicated when confirmation email is sent. Took me more than five minutes to figure out that maybe I should go to the backstreet to figure it out.

I called the uhaul at 116 s western ave, Los Angeles ca and asked if I can rent a ten ft truck and if there's a flat rate and the customer rep on the phone said that it'll be 80$ flat rate for 24 hours including the dolly. I went here on tues September 27th around 4 pm to pick up the truck rental and the guy that was working there said that it'll be $19.95 plus .89 cents a mile and $7 for the dolly. He also mentioned that I also have to fill back up the gas tank to where I got it which was around over 7/8 of a tank full. And I had to return the truck by 11am the next day. When I returned the truck around 9am the next day, the guy working behind the desk named dansong was on the phone yelling and cursing out the phone. Then he hung up and didn't even say anything and asked me in a loud tone voice "what do you want".then he went out and looked at the truck and said I didn't fill it all the way up and I told him i filled it past over the 7/8 mark. He refused to take the truck and made me go get gas and it was less than a gallon to fill. He put me under a lot of stress as I am pregnant and couldn't handle his poor customer service. This bait and switch has cost me well over $80. I am seeking for a full refund of $145.93 not including $25 in gas. This is the worse bait and switch I have ever encountered and the worse customer service ever. Dansong needs to be reprimanded as he is giving uhaul a bad name. The yelp review for the uhaul at 116 western ave Los Angeles ca has 1.5 star reviews. I will be contacting my credit card company if this issue isn't resolved. the gentleman who waited on us requested that we fold and put the furniture pads back in the clear plastic bag after we used them to avoid a fee for him to count and fold the furniture pads. I thought this was excessive of him to ask this of us since we paid to use the pads.
