I wish I could give a lower rating. I drove about 20 miles and was charged for 175. I have now spent hours dealing with this and it still has not been resolved. This is by far the most disgusting consumer experience I have had in 20 years.

We received a confirmation on Friday 7.13 that the UHaul would be at Thala LLC, however it was not there. It was not at the LIC location when we were told to go there, and then told to go to Woodside. In the end, the UHaul was not in Woodside either, we were given another UHaul in LIC.

My truck was missing, forced to taxi to another location. Was on hold with customer service for 20 min trying to get me a new truck. My dolly was not in the truck, so I had to move without it because the office was closed. Overall a REALLY STRESSFUL and agrivating experience.

I walked into the yard but there were no signs indicating to go to the white office at the back of the yard. I called out loud but no one responded so I thought I was in the wrong spot. When I called the number listed on my rental email confirmation, it put me through to someone in the main office, and not at the rental location, and the man on the phone could not give me clear directions or descriptions even though I was at the correct location. It was very frustrating.

I would never Use Uhaul again. I made a reservation 5 weeks before pickup, and I was lucky to get this truck at this place. Uhaul as a corporation doesnt give a damn about its customers. New York towing and collison are Aces in my book. Great professional people, but uhaul as a corporation can suck a dick. How can I have a reservation for almost 5 weeks, and the company tells me the day before I move I dont have a truck. I then Had 7 different times and places and truck sizes promised to me only to fall through. I ended up with a 10 foot truck, later than expected and incurred hundreds of dollars in milage overages due to the amount of trips needed to move my stuff. NEVER AGAIN. UHAUL CAN SUCK A DICK.

I walked into the gated area like the guy on the phone told me and no one was there. So we were shouting for someone... no answer. Then I call the guy again and he yelled at me “GO INSIDE!” And then told to to go into the trailer, we walk in and after walking in we stood there for a bit before a woman turned around puzzled and asked “uhh.... can I help you or something?” And I told her the guy told ya to come in and he soon opened the door. After some awkward tension she started our paper work. Overall it was as if we were bothering them. At one point she said “ok so a flatbed truck...” and I said oh no I’m sorry we have a van and she turn around and told me “I was talking to my coworker!” As if I were supposed to know. They were very very rude and it was a confusing experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know or any stranger for that matter. Also the van smelled like cat pee.

The owner is very very rude. He started calling me on Fathers Day repeatedly saying he needs the truck back and i told him no it wasn’t due until today but he was belligerent and today it was a total drama and many people were involved at all levels. He was very disrespectful and bad image for the company

First of all, this was not the drop of location I picked in the Washington, DC location. My drop off was in Miami, in the location: 4385 NW 7th ST, Miami, FL 33126. When I got to this location, I had to wait at least 20 minutes for someone to receive me when there was no line, the people were just hanging out in the back. Even though when I went to the back, to tell them I was waiting to be helped, I had to wait another 10 minutes. When they finally came to help me, the man was very disrespectful. He went to check the truck and went he came back inside to put it in the system, he stood up again — not telling me what was going on. When he came out again and I asked, he told me that the truck wasn’t appearing in the system — I imagine that it was because the drop off location was incorrect, even though he told me hw found my reservation. My dad was waiting for me outside and he decided to come in to see what was going on. When he came in he asked me what was happening and as soon as he came in, the man who was “helping” me said to him: “sir, calm down okay.” This was for no reason. After this, he told us to leave and didn’t want to give us a receipt, even though he hadn’t filled out the paperwork. My dad said he wasn’t going to leave without any evidence that we had returned the truck. The man got very aggitated and started screaming at my dad and kept on saying for us to leave. His treatment was poorly and seemed as if he didn’t know what he was doing.

You have to keep pick up place where is convinient for costumers. This past weekend I made everything is required for reservation, later on I got a text confirming pick up nearest place to me and is 20 min taxi ride when 2 blocks away you have the nearest place! Not happy with that, waste of time and $ taxi ride

The place was closed because it was a holiday. I wish the tenant at the pick-up location gave me a heads up. I had to google everything to figure out how to drop off the van (the uhaul website is good and well done at least!)

I was supposed to pick up the truck by 4pm the previous customer who was renting the truck return it by 4:20 and I take it by 4:30, the location had other trucks but they won’t let me take one, there was a time frame for me to pick up my stuff from work but I couldn’t catch it, I missed the delivery so the whole day messed up and I return the truck without using it, I will never use U-Haul service again or recommend it to anyone, I’m asking for my money refund please. Thanks

The staff was exceptionally inattentive and unhelpful, and the location is poorly marked. After circling the block twice, I called the number initially provided and it went to voicemail. After doing an internet search for the new number, the person on the phone was unable to give me any guidance other than the cross street. (E.g. "We are right next to X, you probably won't see our sign, but it's the first entrance on the right.") After I managed to find the place, I was still unsure what to do or where to park. The attendant, instead of taking over, simply signaled for me to parallel park a 15 foot truck in a equally sized spot directly blocking the entrance, having to back out into incoming traffic with no assistance. After several attempts I gave up and said "good enough". The attendant never took out his headphones to give any instruction of what to do. Still unsure of what to do I offered him my keys, which were accepted without a word or assurance that I was all set. He immediately went back to his task. It was an unexpected frustrated experience. However, it's conveniently located, so that's a plus. I'll probably use them again because of this, but with managed expectations.

A manager, came late, he was not polite, also he was angry about a computer and fax machine which did not have paper and low ink. The van was darty outside with scratches which a manager did not show me . A van blocked by another cars, means it was not ready .

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. "Manager" finally called us after an hour and fifteen minutes past our reservation time to tell us that he had "nothing to do with uhaul" that we didn't have an 8am reservation because they don't open until 9, that the uhaul lock boxes on the street weren't his responsibility, and then told me I could "get your truck somewhere else" and that he was going to "call his secretary and tell them not to rent to us." We stood for an hour in the rain because he forgot to park our van on the street and leave the keys in the lock box and that was his response. Never using Uhaul again.

The van was filthy, both in and outside. The place was a little off the grid. The employee who took care of me did a great job. She was courteous, knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend this place simply because of her! The address should be in the initial email. It took me quite sometime to find it.
