The personnel was friendly and efficient. However, The truck was smelly inside including both the cargo and the driver compartments ; my fault , I did not the check it's inside before taking it, only checked outside for damages.

Rubber bed mat off- gasses badly, inside of van stunk for whole trip, will never rent another Uhaul again for this reason alone. GM's style of blind spot mirrors makes the right side dangerous on the freeway at night- one set of headlights appears as six or eight in mirror. Your policy of renting van with partial fuel added to our expense. Paul

I think that charging for every kilometer as well as all gas used is excessive, and discourages me from renting a U-Haul truck unless I can possibly avoid it. The whole rental was much more expensive than I had hoped. There was no senior discount. The staff were excellent and the truck survived the trip, in spite of the loud noises from the engine and transmission. It was a very rough ride, but I guess all these things are innate in a much-rented truck.

I initially rented a 10' for moving a daughter to university . Someone outside of the location mentioned I should confirm seats in the truck as they thought it might only have two . I called a week later and was told it had 3 seats . I still was not sure so after a few more days swung by the dealer and confirmed the 10' would only have two . I called the next day and was told that yes it would only have two seats and because there we're 3 of us going I would need to up grade to a 15' at a higher cost . I explained to the guy that when I initially booked that if the 10' was not available they would give me the 15' for the same price , which they had not located a 10' at this time .. anyways the guy did not really give a shit and said it would be the higher price . I called customer service and had another guy whom did not give a shit advised me that he could switch me to a 15' at the higher price ... uuugg... was told I would get a call the day before that would let me know where to pick up, had to call in and ask .. that girl was really nice . Still angry that I was given incorrect information on two occasions and no apology and no one seems to care that if I had no folllowed up a number of times that I would have been in a real predicament trying to get three bodies in a two seated truck . I am not giving a "poor" rating because the truck worked well and got us to where we needed to be .

Van was not full of gas when picked up was charged to fill it when returned only drove 57 km. Attendant said it must have been full when we picked it up, so basically said we were lying. Very poor customer service, very unprofessional. We will not use this company again.

Location was not open during stated hours of service. Supposed to be open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. I dropped off a trailer at 5:35 and no one was around. I called at 8:30 the next morning to verify that the trailer was returned and got no answer and no way to leave a message. A call a few minutes later was answered. BE OPEN DURING STATED HOURS OF SERVICE.

My original pick up location changed and I was notified by phone, however, the person who contacted me did not mention the location change. I was able to verify this at the Clarke road Uhaul, as I needed a mattress and box spring protector the day prior to the move. In the end I did end up going to the right location, but I could have end up in the wrong place. Overall, I feel that the service has improved and the truck I got was in excellent condition. The newer system in place for self serve is a huge time saver, and I also enjoyed the drop off which makes you upload pictures to validate the condition of the truck. I suspect that I will continue to use Uhaul in the future.

I elected to return the vehicle to the location I rented from - which should have resulted in a substantial savings to my rental. However, I was only allocated enough mileage to drive one way and was thereby charged for the extra miles needed to drive the vehicle back which negates the advantage of returning the vehicle to the initial rental location!

I arrived befote 7:30am, the time when the dealer was set to open. I assumed there would be some life there ahead of opening time. The man who was working there did not arrive at the store until 7:35.

We were sent an email when we made our reservation that the Uhaul trailer was 'guaranteed' for 9 AM Friday, Aug 4th. When I arrived to pick it up they said it had already been rented out to someone else. What about your guarantee? They called around and found another trailer for me at the other end of town, about 30 minutes away. WhenI got there the trailer was ready but the left tail light did not work. The owner 'fiddled' with the wiring and then it worked. We drove away. At the first stop light I checked it and it would not come on. The rest of the trip I had no left brake or signal light. further issues at drop off location, see comments there.

When I got into the van it was dirty, the front window was not cleaned and it van had a funny smell. Upon returning the van I told a gentlemen there and he had no comment. I also found that I went slightly over I had to pay an extra $9.00.....really????? After paying the rental fee??? Just my thoughts.
