U-Haul should be explicit that their reservation system is not a reservation system but a “preferred location” system, as it is deceiving and frustrating when a truck is not where you reserved it. The location that I rented from has incredibly unprofessional employees that tried to scam me out of extra miles. Customers should not be renting out of there and u haul should do their due diligence. Will not be renting from U-Haul again

The guy at the desk was wonderful but he didn't have enough blankets for us despite what we ordered online. Super nice guy though, and he was accommodating, so I didn't really mind.

Close this location and change it to a more professional one. I had a extra charge for kilometers I didn't do. No paperwork done, no checking the odometer. Luckily I took pictures of the odometer before and after the use of the van. Still waiting for a response and hopefully will get my money back.

Truck was dirty inside and out battery was dead had to get my own booster cables from home in order to boost the truck i was 45 mins past my pick up time by the time i was able to leave with the truck the trucks gas tank was almost empty

Was called today and accused of stealing the vehicle and not returning. 2 hours later uhaul reported at returned at the correct time, with no follow up on the accusations. If you do rent from this location ensure that you record well that you did drop off the vehicle and the key, just in case uhaul's poor bookkeeping causes them to accuse you of theft as well.

We arrived at the location, no questions asked except for our names, added insurance as per their discretion, we didn't ask for insurance. We didn't choose the insurance online. Uhaul head office refunded it but it's the principle. I wouldn't recommend sorry.

When I arrived at the 'store' (and I use the term loosely) I asked about my Uhaul rental the lady told me "no no no, next week". I had to call Uhaul and find out why I couldn't pick up my previously reserved van, after spending significant time on the phone Uhaul was able to confirm that my reservation would be fulfilled at this location. The place looked nothing like I have ever experienced before when renting a vehicle...very unprofessional business and atmosphere! Very broken english from the lady inside and had to wait for her brother to come in order to complete the transaction. The van was filthy, everything I touched inside was incredibly sticky. Never will I darken the door of Uhaul again, such an unprofessional environment! The customers ahead of me were also very angry although I do not know why.

Where do I start? We had booked our rental almost 2 months in advance, and this location was not our choice. We were coming in from out of town, so we called ahead to make sure everything was good. We left messages, but none were returned. When we got there, the location was a vegetable store/restaurant. The woman there spoke broken English and could not release the truck to us. She did call the guy who handles this, but he was at least an hour away. We returned later, and he still wasn't there, and the woman was on her cell phone not acknowledging us. About 15 minutes later, he finally showed up. We checked the truck, and it had several boxes of vegetable in it (which we help remove). The guy gave us no paperwork, saying we could use the app. We didn't want to use the app and asked for paperwork. My wife took pictures of the truck so they wouldn't try to charge for any scratches or dents. For some reason, he told us he would increase the kilometers. OK, we didn't ask for it. We still didn't have paperwork, and he wouldn't give us any. He was rather abrupt with us. So we left with no paperwork, except for the rental sheet we printed at home. We were just happy to get out of there. After this experience, we will be looking at other truck rental companies for future moves.

The check in process was much slower than I expected it would be after having filled out all the information online, and there were no blankets available, which I had requested online. The location owner offered to run and get them for me, but as but as time I was on a tight timeline I took a pass on this. Finally, the vehicle had less than half a tank of gas in it. I filled it up and returned it with way more gas in it than when I picked up, as I was unsure how much gas it would burn for my trip.

I would have gave them 0 zeros if I could. DO NOT RENT A U-HAUL FROM HERE. Everything was going fine at first, I got a text message to call the place so I did. I called 19 times and no one picked up I had to drive there to confirm when I got there. I walk up to the lady that works there. I said I’m here to confirm my U-Haul and she said and I quote no one is picking up a haul today. I said I know I called you 19 times to confirm for tomorrow she looked at me and said oh. Hold on, she is calling someone else she ends up passing me the phone. I talk to this guy that told me up I’ll be there for 11am and I said nope I booked it for 10 and you will be there for 10. He said fine ok. So I got off the phone and before I left I called the store one more time to see if they would pick up and nothing they didn’t. The phone was ringing and they didn’t pick up. I was so mad they didn’t set proper expectation. Pick up the phone. So I was nerves going home thinking about the next day picking up my U-Haul. Fastfoward to the next day we get there we pick up the U-Haul truck at 10am and everything seemed ok. But atleast at 11:15 someone called from U-Haul and said hey where are you? You are spouse to pick up your truck 15 minutes ago. I said I don’t know what you are talking about I picked up my truck an hour and 15 minutes ago and he said you took the wrong truck. May I say very rudely. I said that’s not my fault. Someone from your business gave it to me and he said ok bye. This U-Haul pick up needs to stop being a U-Haul pick up or everyone needs to to take a few courses on customers services so they can A. Learn how to talk to customers appropriately B. How to set proper expectations and C. Learn how to pick up a phone

There was a lot of confusion from the dealer as to what I had requested in my reservation, which was a one way cargo van from London to Toronto. He put it through the system as coming back to the same location, which created more issues when I returned it to the Toronto location.

I reserved a truck for a one-way move. I had to call back numerous times because I was told different information each time. First, I was told I would have 100 miles, which got changed to 100 km- that’s a huge difference. They told me the truck would be left clean- slush and snow everywhere. They said they would provide two straps, then any other equipment would be extra- the next person who picked up the phone was shocked and told me that they don’t provide those for free. They confirmed that I would be able to drop off the vehicle at any location- false and had to change the location and drive around the city for another hour. Most stressful experience I have ever had.
