I didn’t even schedule to drop off here . I picked up a truck there actually at another location because they didn’t have my truck at that place so I had to drive to Santa Maria and pick up there . When I got there ,no one was there I waited 45 minutes before someone came to help saying they lost track of time working at the “Y” mind you I have to drive the rental truck back to Lompoc and load it then drive to Bakersfield and in load the truck . When I got there they did help me in specific a Very nice girl took my keys and looked over the truck and was very professional that girl was the only great experience I had. I will personally return to thank her befor picking my belongings up from storage at the location on White lane in Bakersfield

This was my second and final horrible experience with uhaul. My first try renting from uhaul, they called me the morning of my move and told me my truck was 200 miles away... no thank you. This time I scheduled my truck online and called to confirm the rental. The morning of the move the local office was closed when I went to get the truck! I called and was told to download the app and it will tell me where to find the hidden key. Wth? No hidden key. I called the corporate number, they apologized for the scheduling mistake because that local office is never open on weekends, even though they confirmed the day before that the truck was there and ready AND THE OFFICE WOULD BE OPEN! They sent me 45 away to pick up a filthy truck that smelled like BO and rotten food. It was dirty inside and out. I was promised a discount for the hassel but never got it. Good bye uhaul. The 26' truck I reserved wasn't returned. I was left with a 17' truck. That affected everything. We Should've been comped at least $20 off the final bill for the inconvenience. I know the co. didnt cause the issue. It's just good customer service.

I reserved a 20 ft moving van in Lompoc on Vulcan personally and was told I would get what I reserved Your call center is a huge problem. A gal named Salgado called from Los Angeles. She was rude and ran her instructions like it was a game. I was told to go to Santa Maria Ca which is 25 mins out of my way to move. I then went to Pommervilles reexplained my problem to Don there. He then explained Uhauls poor policy to me. I was then told I could use another rental company. I’ll rent the truck anyway. I tried to pay for everything in advance and was told to come back. Moving day arrived and there was a 1 hr delay by the time we had to gas up due to none of my info being right as the Salgado gal assured me it was correct. Long story short. I got the upgraded truck which worked out luckily. I will recommend that you all get your heads out of your ass get on the same page and talk with employees and franchise owners.
