Overall, good experience. The main office in Manchester answered all my questions over the phone. They were very helpful in the renting and drop off procedures. This is the first time we reserved, picked up, and dropped off a uhaul truck completely online. The uhaul application was easy to navigate. The only suggestion would be to have a longer reservation choice beyond two days.
After having my location changed a few days before I went to the new spot and couldn't check in online because the location had never been changed there. I called U-Haul for help and was hung up on with no answer. I called back and the woman wouldn't let me speak or ask any questions. Gave me a number for someone else so fast and cut me off while I was trying to ask her if she would help me. When I asked her to stop cutting me off she hung up on me. I drove to the original location and no U-Haul was there. I called a number listed there and a nice woman helped me. The U-Haul was no where to be found, luckily someone was returning a rental to that location and I was able to get this. My rental should have started at 8am and didn't start til 9:30, I had to drive over and hour out of my way from one location to another. I will never use U-Haul again or recommend it. I have never been hung up on before and found it the most unprofessional and unhelpful thing of all.
Very well run operation
I had problems picking up vehicle as the location could not locate me via my phone. One call to Rick and he got me on my way. Had same problem when returning vehicle but again Rick took care of it.
I have known these people for years they always provide excellent service
There was not a lot of specific attention given to the uhual side of the business nor were there are solutions provided to help fix my drop off
- Better backup system for processing credit card transactions. - Faster response time to operational issues. (We had to wait for an hour. Inexcusable!) - Customer service lacking - Compensate customers for long waits and inconvenience (e.g., waive protection coverage, reimburse for gas, reimburse rental fee) NOTE: This was our first time renting a U-Haul â€” not a good first impression at all. While the attendant was pleasant and helpful and doing his best, U-Haul management and operations left a lot to be desired. Follow-up would be appreciated.
I needed a truck right away and needed a couple of dollies to move a piece of equipment for my business. One of the owners helped get everything put together for me and help with storage for the weekend as well. My business will definitely use their location again! Great Service, Great people!

Dropped the truck off a day early. Went in to complete the return and the staff member said he was to busy to do it as he was in the middle of something. Was very rude. Told me to just leave the key and he would email my receipt. He never did called your customer service department and told them what had happened. They said they would make sure it had been checked back in and would send my receipt. I didn't receive my receipt till the next day and it had the incorrect return date on it. Terrible experience at the drop off location.
Arrived and truck was started and all warmed up for me! No complaints. Gentleman who helped me was very help!
Truck came with a quarter tank less than the paperwork started. Information provided was not relayed to the drop off location.

Please improve online reservation, I had ordered veh. for 10:00 am but was later informed I wouldn't be able to get veh until 11:45 am, because computer doesn't know how many people are reserving vehs for same time or close to it. Thank you.
Online U-Haul reservation system needs to be better aligned to the availability and capability of the local pickup.
