I have rented the same size trailer twice in a matter of 3 weeks, every time the pick up people have been rude. Today when I went to return said trailer, the location was closed, I called a different location in Madison and was told it's not their problem. I had to unhook the heavy trailer by myself. Not happy

On Saturday,May 30, 2020 I visited hicks sales rentals-(10774) and had to go to a ATM to pull cash out due to credit system being down. Which is an additional charge of $3.50. Which wasn't a problem until the guy/owner complained about how another customer got upset and he called U-Hual for the lady to let her speak to a U-HAUL representative directly because he didn't need her service. So , I told make/owner that I had to pick a 62†zero turn mower and stress repeatedly that I needed a trailer with a gap big enough to haul/clear gate ramp of 62â€. He stated he's the only one around her that have an 6x12 trailer, which is the biggest trailer. While picking up the mower, we could not get the mower on the trailer. I'm guessing the trailer ramp needed a additional clearance of 5-6 more inches. I then had to return trailer approximately 11/2 hour later, while still being charged $38 and some change. The female/owner and daughter came out to help disconnect trailer. I then notified her what her husband said and how this was a complete waste of money and I was unhappy as a customer. I shop which U-Haul a lot, in fact I just drop a enclosed trailer off just the day before. The female/owner didn't have an response. I left this location with no closer. I will take business elsewhere due to this experience.
