First the credit card lines were down at U-Haul. I was there 2 hours trying to get the payment approved. The rep on the phone made 3 tries and finally got it posted. I was back behind the counter numerous times as the clerk showed me his screen. Also the store was very dirty. No one ever cleans. A layer of dirt on the gum at the counter. The return was much better
The location and equipment was convenient and easy to access. The pickup was a little slow since the agent was involved in other transactions.

There needs to be a separate counter for the Uhaul rentals. People had to wait to make there purchases.
Person would not give me a receipt for the return, would not give me his name, did not inspect the truck. Would not give me the full name of the manager. A total horrible experience. I thought U-haul was professional this drop of was a nightmare.
Not impressed what so ever. I went to order a 20 foot truck online. The website said they had one available at this location. I tried reserve it online but the website kept crashing on me. So I drove to the location 10 minutes away. There was a 20ft truck there but the said they only had 10ft trucks. I took the 10ft. It took many more trips than expected and a lot more miles resulting in Uhaul making more money for mileage and taking more time for me to move my stuff forced me to return the truck late and charged for an additional day because I was a couple hours late. Extremely unsatisfied with uhaul. The guy at the location barely spoke English, couldn't figure out how to work the uhaul website finally gave me a number to call and give my info to some guy. Not impressed.
You need to hire competent individuals to do your business.
Equipment in truck didn't match order, but U haul adjusted contract for us. Worker on site was knowledgeable and helpful.
Not having a uhaul at a gas station. If my order is split up last minute let me know that the other place has both items so that I'm not inconvienced anyways.
Very poor service. The guy couldn't speak English very well, so it was hard to understand what he was saying. He overcharged us for gas. When we returned it, we took it to the nearest location, but we're told it had to go back to the original location. We're charged alot of money because we forgot the dolly, so had to go back for it. The guy ripped us off in alot if ways. We did get some of themoney back. This was the worst experience we've ever had with Uhaul.
This is my second time renting with U-Haul and it will be my last. I was charged a $15 cleaning fee for having pretzels on the floor. I didn't even have food at any time in the truck . I have called my credit card company and have disputed this charge. I will be sure to post on FB and Twitter to never use U - Haul for a rental company. I also returned the truck two days early and I feel your flat rate is absurd. You are able to re-rent that truck and I benefit in no way. $550 for one day ! Ludicrous.
Wow! The extra fees are unreal!!! People who are in the middle of a move are already are stressing and broke!
I reserved a 15' truck to be picked up in East Rochester, NY on Sunday 30JUNE. I was called the afternoon of the 29th and told there were no 15' trucks in Rochester and that I need to go to Lakeville to get a 20' truck at the 15' price. What is the purpose of reserving a vehicle if none are available for rental? And then I have to drive 30 miles instead of 1 to pick it up? VERY POOR performance by UHAUL! I would not recommend others use your service based on this event. I will be renting a truck to move from MD to NY in the fall and will be looking else where for a truck. You can call me to discuss. It took a long time for the checkout process.
I had to pay $130 just to get a couch moved and I also had to fill the gas tank. I thought the money per mile was to fill the gas tank. That's ridiculous ??
Rental was seamless. Personnel very helpful and polite. Great location for renting in Livingston Cty, NY. Will use location's services again.

When you make a contract with a customer regarding pickups stand by it. I understand this is a common problem of bait and switch you always notify the customer late in the day before pick up so they do not have time to make other arrangements. I would like to find an attorney to do a class action lawsuit against you.

Properly train the employees at this franchise in the steps needed to properly complete a Uhaul vehicle pick up. The staff are friendly, and very personable they simply lack training in uhaul procedures.
It's annoying that I picked up the tank on just under half empty. What a gimmick. You expect someone to know how much gas to put into a tank for it to be exactly half empty when it's dropped off. It should have been a full tank when I picked it up. This is a way for you to make money by either having more gas in the vehicle than required or to charge a ludacris amount for not being exact. I have photos.
The location was fine-- nothing special, just a small gas station/mini market in the middle of more of less, nowhere. The owner or clerk was very personable and quickly prepared the paperwork to get us out the door and on our way. They had one truck-- a 20 footer, and we booked it after learning one day before our pickup of the 10 foot truck we had requested was canceled due to NO 10 foot trucks being available anywhere nearby, and if we wanted a 10 foot truck, we could wait until 4-4:30 pm and pick one up in a location 45 min NORTH of where we were moving from. UNACCEPTABLE. So, we ended up with way more truck than we needed and ended up having to pay way more for fuel than we planned. When I made the reservation about 10-12 days prior, I never knew that it wasn't guaranteed until UHAUL calls 24 hours before. GREAT. So UHAUL overbooks-- thus overpromises-- when there was very little liklihood of having the 10 foot truck we ordered during move out weekend for graduating seniors at many of the local universities. End of my rant about that. UHAUL, U-HAVE a problem with your equipment, namely the truck you rented to us. The front tires are dangerously worn- treads are worn and wear bars are prominent. The truck violently shakes at ANY speed above 10 mph. PLEASE service this vehicle before someone else has a problem, like an ACCIDENT. If the roads were wet, we never would've been able to drive it. But what I'm sure happens is that ppl HAVE to get their move done and are reluctant to refust to accept the truck in such poor condition because they HAVE to move-- like us. So they say a few Hail Marys and continue on-- like us. And they are so glad to return the truck and hope to never need to rent a UHAUL again....NOT like us. I'm here to let you know about it.
