I made a reservation to pick up in Fall River and at last minute was told I'd have to go pick up at other locations. I was told that $ 100.00 would be taken off the price. That did not happen. I have to go 4 hours total out of my way in total. I was half a day behind in my plans and I was charged an extra day. I'm not at all satisfied. Then I was never given release codes for the helpers and had to pay them out of pocket. No I can't get any help getting my money back. This was the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company.

Equipment was excellent. Appreciate the info on your site about loading a mattress into van. My only suggestion would be to let people know ahead of time to bring an additional form of I.D.

We picked up our rental at 6:45pm Friday August 10th.I had originally asked for 3:00 but we needed to install some wiring after the initial inspection and Bill was more than accommodating. I rented the trailer for 8 days and was supposed to have it returned by 3:00pm Saturday August 18th. I originally asked what would happen if we were running a little late because we were traveling 6 hours and you never know what the traffic will be like in the city. Was told just to call and let him know. We made good time and were ahead of drop off schedule, then we hit a breakdown in the tunnel and stopped dead in traffic. I called and let him know we would be a little late, rushed as fast as we could to unload the trailer and dropped the trailer off at 4:30. We were charged for another entire day. This was also not mentioned to me at all when we dropped off the trailer. If that were the case I wouldn't have completely stressed out about having the trailer back as quick as we did because apparently I was charged for another 24 hours.

The stoughton office manager Sherry is the worst and her customer service skills are deplorable we had a confirmed reservation for Saturday am at 9 am then got a call it wouldn’t be available until 12 got a call at 1130 that they didn’t have a truck for us we had a schedule movers and everything she was useless and rude and does not know how to handle paying customers the reservation desk Kellie was great and lakeville store very helpful even though we had to go out of our way but thank you lakeville Stoughton store is horrible and staff is ignorant and beyond rude

The place in Lakeville was great, but was 35 minutes from my home. There are 3 or 4 uhaul places within 2 miles of my house but for some reason were not accepting returns. I didnt sign up to be a trailer jockey for uhaul.

you should let the person know what the amount per mile (was from June 13 to July) you jump from .90cents to 1.09 per gal. was not expected with a smaller truck.

The old man at this location took over half an hour to get me out the door and was uncommunicative and did a bad job explaining the rates and what is involved. The back door of the truck was broken and did not stop when opening so it got stuck and was not able to close. We needed to pry it out.

Would have been nice to know that they offer FREE storage for 30 days when you do a one way rental. I unloaded all my worldly belongings into a garage and I am praying it doesn't get wet in all the rain until I can move into a bigger place! I was told about the storage when I called to ask questions about returning the truck!

I was hoping to be able to comment on my experience with U-Haul Truck Share 24/7. I was able to provide all the information and proof of identity required during this process. My biggest frustration came at the most crucial part of the process, getting the key. No Key code was provided to me. Not through the app or in an email. The code opens the lock box holding the keys to the vehicle. The app showed that we had obtained the keys and were actually driving the vehicle, when in fact, we didn’t have the keys. We called customer service and were on infinite hold. I tried the “live chat” and the person on the other end never connected. I call the “24/7” contact number listed in the app for people who can’t access the key to the vehicle. The phone rang many times. Nobody picked up the line. A recording came on stating that the mailbox was full and I that would not be able to leave a message. My husband and I had to sit there for an hour waiting for the attendant to arrive to work. Once the attendant arrived, he couldn’t answer any of our questions concerning why the process did not work. He told us the computer shows us using the vehicle. The whole experience was frustrating. The last thing you want on a day where you have a lot of work ahead of you is to be arguing with the person you are working with. Our frustrations almost made the day a complete wash. We talked about just leaving and going to another rental company on a different day. Instead, we realized that we were at the mercy of an inept program that clearly needs more work. Ultimately, the attendant cancelled the original reservation and we ended up renting the vehicle the usual way, the paper and pen method.
