We had to rent a one-way U-haul for a trip that took several detours, adding many extra miles on the truck. The employee at this location never bothered to inform me that l could get additional miles as cushion; we ended up pay $26 worth of overage charges. The establishment was dirty, had a suffocating cigarette smell, and the customer service was subpar.

I returned the truck after hours. So I don't get to meet with anyone. I had to contact the location in East Brunswick NJ. To make sure that the rental had been logged in as returned, and in good order. I had called the Lakeland office a couple of times, and left messages. In regards to the truck drop off. It wasn't until I had to contact Uhual in Nj. That some returned my call from Lakeland, saying he is the only worker at his location, and has been busy taking care of customer not able to return my calls. That the truck was logged in.

Customer service the worst I have ever experienced. my first call was at 8:05pm in Lakeland trying to drop off the truck after hours, on the phone at 10PM, still no help. Finally, Both my son and I were on the phone separately talking with 2 different customer service agents, we were getting 2 different answers. One telling us we need to drive to Lakeland and other finally, after 2 hours found us a location. HORRIBLE SERVICE. We ended up dropping the truck off 3 miles from where we were. For a National company in truck rental service, customer service not knowing an after hours location is unacceptable. Everytime I called, we were transferred to some other department, then they would drop the call, 2 hours of this after moving all day, is really Unacceptable. I have a phone records to prove. It's a joke. Uhaul needs multiple after hours drop off locations, should be safe areas. We were concerned with the location we ended up dropping the truck off.

This person was very helpful and friendly. This man knew what he was talking about and offered U-Hauls apologies for the treatment of the first place. I would recommend this location to anyone who is needing or wanting to rent from U-Haul

This was my drop off location which was also what an auto shop. I stopped right before they closed to ask if they had an after hours dropbox. I was told to drop the trailer off in the lot across the street & leave my rental contract in the Dropbox & he would close it out later that night & I would receive an email with the receipt. This never happened & also the number listed for this location always went straight to voicemail; so I ended up closing out my contract with the location where I picked up the rental. Then I received an email from Uhaul’s loss prevention yesterday saying I needed to return my rental. I called their number & was told whoever sent the email did it mistakingly. So today I finally received an email closing out the rental. My concern is the continuity that is obviously lacking between the your various locations and the end user/customer that is caught up in all of this confusion.

Truck only had1/16th of a tank of gas. Looked more like empty. Truck was parked in the back of a dirt lot. Not great experience!
