Made reservations online. Got my confirmation. Went to the facility. They said they didn’t have a vehicle for me. After putting up a fuss. They all of a sudden came up with a vehicle. They were blaming it on the company. Making excuses it’s not their fault.

I called this location several times prior to arriving to reserve a storage unit but they were having system issues and were not able to process the order. I called again and spoke with someone with customer care who was able to set up the storage unit, while on my drive out there. On my way to the storage unit I stopped at this location to drop off the car carrier. They did not inform me that their location is the office for the storage unit and that there is no one at the storage unit to help me. So i drive the 20ft u hual through a neighborhood to get to the storage unit only to find out I was not able to get into the gate. Then I had to turn back around in this tight road to head back to the drop off location. Upon arriving at the drop off location they tried looking up my reservation for the storage unit, only to find out that there wasn't one placed. After having me give them all of my information again they set me up with a 10x10 unit as I originally had asked and gave me a key card to get into the gate. Upon arriving at the storage unit the gate was open and I was able to get in. I unloaded the uhual with my girlfriend and her 7 year old son. After unloading we drive to the gate, I get out of the truck to swipe the key card. Upon swiping, i get a message on the screen saying, "unauthorized access". At this point it was still during their hours of operation for the storage unit and we were locked inside. I called customer care who put me through to the security department that had to get a hold of the manager who had to open the gate for us. This process was a very big inconvenience and upset us all. The next day Upon returning the truck, I looked at the contract emailed to me to see what the fuel should be at the time of the return of the truck. It still said 1/2 a tank of fuel. I called the location where I previously picked up the truck and the gentleman that I spoke with initially told me it was changed in the system and they will be able to see it when I return it. After getting off the phone with him, I called customer care to see if they could see this note, they told me there was nothing on the contract and that I have to return the truck with 1/2 a tank of fuel. I get off the phone with customer care and attempt to call the original location twice and left a message for them to call me back so we can get this issue fixed. I finished cleaning the truck and still haven't received a call, so i called customer service again. The woman that I spoke with told me that she put a note in there stating that I called and asked about the fuel upon return to be 1/4 of a tank and to call the pick up location to verify. I get to the drop off location and go inside to talk to an employee only to be directed outside to the truck so I can fill it up with half a tank of fuel. I walk outside to talk to the gentleman processing the return and inform him of the situation. He tells me he can't do anything and to talk to someone inside. I go inside and s

The taillight was broken on hitch when we picked it up. Had to drive 1,100 miles dealing with it falling off and RE - bungee cording it on in 5 degree weather driving through Chicago. Not ideal. Also window wiper fluid low , had to stop and buy some to fill.

The door latch doesn’t work properly making it very difficult to close. Also experienced a problem with trailer ball receiver leaving rental location causing extreme “bucking” and problems with my hitch.

Customer service is not a high priority to some of your employee at this location. After completing the paperwork and paying for the rental I ask the young man sitting on some boxes texting where was the truck. He pointed outside and said out there. I ask outside where? He stated, it was the one with the panda bear on it, as he continued texting. Well there were more then one truck with a panda bear on it outside and how in the H??? did he know which one. Then there is the fact that it would be nice to look over the truck before I leave with it to determine the condition of it. I have rented cars before and they walked me outside and showed me the condition of the car. A previous customer may have damaged it and they did not want me to be liable for it. It boils down to customer service, get off the phone, speak to me, show me the truck, ask me do I need any direction on using the truck and is there any thing else I can do for you. CUSTOMER SERVICE. The best part is thank you for having great prices for people like me that have a limited income. OH!! When I made a reservation, please tell the person to make it clear to the customer they are not getting a truck until they get a call back that there is going to be a truck for them. This is a two part reservation, not a one part reservation. Thank you so much for asking

The mileage on the truck was incorrect tried to get it straightened out with the counter they said they couldn't do it the truck was dirty we had to sweep it before we even left they did end up fixing the mileage when we return the vehicle this was our worst experience with U-Haul ever
