They did not have the size truck I reserved, then sent me to a mobile location and gave no directions on how to obtain the truck. By the time we finally got a truck we were 1 1/2 hours behind. Very stressful experience will never rent from there again.

The truck was quite messy inside, quite a bit of trash from whoever used it last. I know that a renter should be responsible enough to clean it out, but it's U-haul's product so I would think whoever is offering your product would inspect these vehicles for this type of thing before renting to the next user. Also, someone smoked in the unit, and it wreaked, ashes were in the vinyl/plastic driver side door handle- i guess that was their temporary ash tray, and the windows must have been cracked some way because that morning it was about 25 degrees in Knoxville and the inside of the windshield had ice on it as well. No one expects to have to deal with ice on the inside of a vehicle. As I mentioned above, it's your product that is being "sold" here by those renting your product, so it's important to make sure your brand is represented in a certain way. I stopped about 3 miles down Chapman Hwy at another U-haul rental location and while the attendant was very helpful and thoughtful, by about 845-9am anything he had as a one-way 15 footer or larger was already gone for the day. I do appreciate his attempts to help me. When he called the traffic line to see what was availble elsewhere, it seemed like that would be a stretch too, so I had not choice then but to use the vehicle for the day.
David E.Person working didn't know lock code. Truck was in bad shape when I picked it up and had to spend almost an hour driving to another location to get a different one.
Christopher V.When I originally made the appt, I wanted it to be in person because I have never used this company before. The morning of, it was switched to online check-in. Upon arrival the truck was padlocked and the code that was supposed to be sent to me was not. The app and the website were not working for me and I had to call customer service where they also did not understand what the issue was and couldn't figure it out. An hour later and a reset of the app and we were finally able to use it. Due to this, I am requesting some type of reimbursement because we could not use the truck for the first hour it was rented due to an error on U-Haul's behalf.
