In November 2017, my brother n law passed away. My wife and daughter flew to Portland Ore and my wife's brother passed 10 minutes before they landed. I and my other daughter drove to Oregon two weeks latter due to a lengthy list of contacts and utilities my wife had to handle which, she did handle admirably. There was a large amount of items and my wife rented a 15-foot truck. I was a truck driver for over twelve years and I did a walk around. I noticed it was practically a new vehicle and no scratches outside and clean inside and no smoke odor. I re-stacked several boxes in order to get everything on board. It had been raining for several days. It was late in the day when we finished and I drove the truck to the motel and backed it in to our spot. The next morning we got an early start heading back to Idaho and still raining. This is the part that amazed me as I mentioned before I drove truck and I at the age of fifteen I worked for a fuel station that rented U-Haul trucks and trailers and that is where I got my first training with vehicles and I must say U-Haul has made some serious upgrades. I was more than impressed I was blown away. Nobody had a chance when I was at the stoplight the transmission shifted like an Indy car and at night in the rain it handled perfectly around the corners and the hill climbing ability was outstanding. I was passing trucks and cars staying within the speed limit (sometimes). How I was having a total blast. I had my wife lead and my daughter was second and I was the rear blocker. I was still very sad for my brother n law he was a grand master at Frisbee Golf. His buddies donated a bench in his name (very cool). Okay, we just rented the another 15-footer truck to move my mother n laws items out and I wasn't able to get it out on the highway but it performed exceptionally. All in all the trucks I drove in my passed were shameful. I have had the best driving experiences in my life and do look forward to renting again in the near future as we are getting ready to move my family. If I had the money I would purchase one. I want to thank U-Haul for the safety and workmanship they put in their vehicles.
