manager was very helpful, I had the wrong ball size on my hitch and he switched it out for me. I was very stressed out about moving, and he made this part of the journey bearable.

The 'manager' was rude when I returned the truck because I did not park it in the 'returned vehicle' area of which I was not informed at the time of rental. When I requested a printed receipt prior to leaving the establishment, he was again rude and dismissive then made me wait while he did a 15-minute inspection. The young employee there was very sociable and polite, however, both at the time of rental and return. Overall, I did not appreciate the manager's complete lack of customer service skills.

Thank god that these people had their act together. They listened to my dilemma, made some inquiries online and informed me that they would accept the box truck even though I had not officially signed it out at the start of my moving journey. I dropped off the trailer before opening hours. I was not instructed to leave a copy of my transaction receipt in the door or drop box. So who ever the guy was working on Sunday was either sleeping or lazy because he never went outside to see that my trailer was actually there. So they charged me for 2 days rental fee, I had to call several times intruder to get it all straightened out. Will not go back here.. unless its a dire emergency

By providing accurate information during reservations & pickup. Both phone conversations were poor. First before I made reservations I was not informed had I reserved my truck 15 minutes after 5pm that I would have the truck from Saturday to Monday without extra day fee. I made the reservation for 5pm, in Brattleboro weeks in advance, then was informed via message that I had to Drive out of my way to Keene nh in which we were given extra miles but not compensated for the extra gas we had to put in both vehicles. I called to confirm and the person was short with me as they were having a conversation with someone in store at the same time and it was confusing. Then when I got to the store to pickup, I was checked out @ 4:55 pm and was told they would not honor my 5pm drop off I had reserved and moved it to 4pm. Then minutes after the next customer was given a Saturday to Monday drop off for 1day rental right in front of me before I Even had the keys to my rental. He just said Greg in Rutland would be understanding, maybe, and made no other attempt to resolve the issue in a positive manner. Because of my now shortened drop off time, and just the stress involved in moving in general I called Sunday morning and added the extra day which cost me an extra $80 and even taking our time and slowing down we still got the truck back Sunday @ 6:55pm, 1:55 past my original reservation. Had an actual positive and productive customer service conversation happened at pick up the extra fee would not have applied had he checked me out 10 minutes later like the other customer. So overall he made your company an extra $80, however our family has used uhaul for every move in the past and that will not be the case in the future. I hope it was worth it. Just a terribly frustrating experience, during a stressful time as moving always is and even though this has been my first negative experience with uhaul it has left a bad taste in my mouth., sincerely Eric

Man who checked me in seemed bothered by having to help me. The online reservation encouraged using the app to rent the truck. I needed help. When I asked him to show me how to do it on my phone he pushed my phone away and said he didn't know that was the customer end of things. He grudgingly checked me out himself bothered that he had to go outside and get the key. The young man who checked me in was polite and helpful. The other issue was I rented a pickup truck online and was given a van with no explanation. After dealing with the attendant I decided to just go with it. The van was great to drive and easy to clean.

The after hours drop off procedure was terrible. To properly comply I had to work thru a complicated software app, taking pictures of the truck, etc. There was just barely signal strength for my phone to work (and what if I don't have a phone?) and the system told me there wasn't sufficient memory to upload the pictures. Ended up just putting the key in a drop box. Very stressful after a long day moving furniture

We could not check in after hours like all the signage says. We tried two different phones and three different servers and it wouldn’t let us get past share your location. Frustrating since we had emptied out our truck into a parking spot to get the truck back sooner.

The site in Keene nh was really on point minus the dirty windshield. There was a thick layer of grim on the inside and made it hard to see in derect sunlight. Also we had to go to Keene nh instead of athol mass because the company over booked and the truck we were surprise to get never got returned.

It would be helpful to really see all of the possible expenses/costs associated with the rental from the beginning. As an example, a CDW fee was added to a charge when I picked up the truck and then when I returned the truck, etc. The contract did not seem to "spell" out those details, like a car rental contract does. Also, the contract stated that I declined supplemental insurance, but I was never offered it. Not sure if this was due to using the self-service app/feature. The truck was very nice, and the manager was as excited that I used the self-service tool.
