They was horrible. CALLED the day before my pick up day to see if I could get my truck early. The girl I believe her name was Michelle said yes they opening at 8 now I was skeptical because the website said 9:30 but she was so postive that they open up at 8. She changed my time from 9:30 to 8:00 a.m.. I even have the conformation. Guess what folks they didn't open til 9:15 so we played the waiting game for that time!!! Resevered a 15in truck and of course when got there, no 15in truck. No one called to even tell me about the situation so surprise. When asked what was going on I was told well the last person to have it didn't return it. Okay I guess! It's like they had to knowledge as to what was going on or how to even run a business. Spent an whole extra 100.00 on miles which I think I was got on but you live and you learn. I should of went with the reviews I seen at first. Never again!!!!! Sincerely an overpaid customer.

To make sure your employees know what hey are doing. I didn’t receive any contract or a copy I should say. The gentlemen was very rude and argumentative and bad mouthing me to the next customer talking about he wasted my time. The office is very filthy and not maintained properly. I ordered a 17 foot truck and when I got to the location they did not have that size truck. I had to take a regular van cause I needed to get my moving process started. Very disappointed because I had to make more trips than I originally planned.

Mr. Williams needs to be honest with his customers. I rented a truck from this location. I rented and returned the truck on 01/22/118. I am now getting parking tickets that was issued to this truck on 01/25/18. Mr. Williams also charged my card for a two day rental. I went to the location and he tries to blame everything on his staff and told me that the staff is responsible for the ticket and that he is not going to pay it. I have reached out to Uhaul corporate and was told that the regional supervisor will respond to my complaint. I am yet to get a call back.

I placed my reservation over the phone with Linda 30 mins before the actual pick up time (for a MEDIUM sized truck) . Linda tells me 185 Merrick Road over the phone and advisedme an email will be sent with all specifics of the reservation. We hand up and I put 185 Merrick Road on my GPS and start heading over to pick up the truck. On my way I realize there is a Merrick Road and Merrick blvd. So I decided to check the email to make sure I get to the right pick up location. The email is not specific on the location (address), it only Says High Speed of New York and when I look that up on Google nothing comes up. I'm super worried so I look up the address with both road and Blvd and call both to make sure I get to the right pick up location. When I called 185 Merrick Road in Jamaica, the man that answers the phone is shouting that my reservation was at 3pm.??? I explained that is incorrect and offer to give my reservation number and he just keeps shouting and asking where am I heading. I say Hicksville and he says "yes, just come". I get to the location and see that there is only SMALL trucks and not medium. I walk into the small office and remind him I was the one on the phone, he says I was late (yes, 20 minutes because of traffic). He starts taking my information and I ask if he had a MEDIUM truck available ; since that's the one I asked. He says "no, just small". I'm super confused and say is it the " 10" Truck (since Linda told me over the phone medium 10 truck). He says yes, so apparently customer service failed to clearly choose and describe the truck I was requesting. What baffles me the most is the fact that Linda told me $109 for a medium 10 truck including mileage (I had told her the town I would be dropping off the truck) and the man at the pickup location charged me almost $140 (because per him, uhaul charges more for one way?!?!) I took the truck because I really needed to move my things, but honestly this is probably the last time I will Renta u haul ever again. Poor customer service.

I was not informed of the coverage charge cause I have full coverage auto insured that would cover me. Also I was charged 2 days for because I rented the van at 1 and brought it back at 5. I think that is excessive, especially since he knew I was bringing back the next day. I feel like I was being charged very excessively and taken advantage off. I am very displeased with the operator’s business practices with not informing the renter of his policies. I also was told he does not deal in cash because he doesn’t want to deal with going to bank!!!! So he just charged my card!!!! I am very angry and upset hot this guy took advantage of me. I will not use uhaul service again and I will tell everyone I know not to support his business!!!!! Please I ask you for something to be done about his actions!!!!

It was in what seemed to be a junkyard. I had to climb between rusted cars to get to the old trailer with paper on the windows and the door slightly cracked open. When I went in someone was hunched over with their back to me facing the corner and a young teenager entered the information in the computer. It was kind of scary and took me over an hour to get there from my original location.
