Store owner was not friendly and willing to help. He tried to tell me to leave and that the UHaul was for someone else when I knocked on the door at the locked store. My appointment was for 12pm and I showed up 5 minutes before, he consistently told me while finishing the paperwork that I was lucky because if I was any later he would have been gone and I would have been out of luck.

I am so appalled by my experience with uhaul, that I don't know where to begin. I have used your services in the past, and have never had a problem. This time, however, was awful. After receiving several confirmation emails that my 15' truck was reserved at a specified location near my home, I showed up at said location only to find it out of business. At first, I thought that maybe this was a self-pick up and pulled up my confirmation email to start the process through my phone. But the link didn't work. So I called the phone number on my confirmation email, and an individual picked up the phone and said "you can't pick your truck up from there.... You need to come to another location." I found that odd... Why this person's phone number was in my email when it was obviously a different location, I don't know. So I said ok. Thankfully, I was flexible and was able to drive the half hour to the other location. I asked this individual if he had the 15' truck I reserved (thinking maybe the out of business location was just relocated) and he said no, that he had a 20' truck. Again, I found this strange as I had received multiple confirmation emails that my 15' truck was reserved. Not a huge deal, but this experience was just bizarre. So I drove 30 mins to the other location, only to encounter this young man who could not have been LESS helpful. I asked him several questions to which he responded "I'm just a computer repair guy, I know nothing about uhaul." That didn't give me much confidence after the morning I had thus far. I then explained my story about the previous location and how no one was there, and that I was hoping on completing a self pick up. He replied "there's no such thing as self pick up. I don't know why you would have thought that." At this point, I was so stressed about the entire situation, that I just needed to get out of there. I asked him if this truck would be given to me at the same cost as the truck I had reserved online, and he said no. It cost me almost $100 more to rent this truck that I didn't want in the first place and when I asked him about the price difference he said, " you're lucky you're even getting a truck -- this is the last one I have." Lucky? I reserved this all online and I was slightly upset he had the nerve to call me lucky as if I had done something wrong and merely showed up out of the blue expecting a truck. He never once apologized for the miscommunication, the price difference, the bizarreness of the situation, his inappropriate jokes, the 40 minutes I spent at the location as he had trouble logging into the uhaul site. I can, without a doubt, say that I will never use your services again after the way I was treated. And I will highly recommend any friends and family stay away from uhaul. I have never once complained to a company about their services before, but I could not let this go. This whole situation happened AFTER I booked a mover through your site, only to have her cancel on m
