Using the website for after hours truck return was straightforward, but attempting to use the app for the "24/7 web-checkin" service was a challenge. Particularly, it was difficult to understand how to set things up when the principal driver and the billing contact information was different. However, the staff on location were friendly and very helpful, and we got it all sorted out. Right now, the website service isn't a substitute for human beings and next time I'd check in with the staff in person rather than trying to do it online ahead of time. Thank you!

I went to pick up my truck and was told that they did not have what I ordered and then I must be in the wrong location. I went to the other location in my town and was told they did not have a reservation for me. After losing 90 minutes running around I finally was given the keys to the truck and told it’s outback. I went to my first destination and learned that there was a dolly and blankets in the back of the truck which were a hindrance to the tasks I needed to perform. I went back and asked to please leave those items at the U-haul location and was told I would be charge for them regardless. I had not asked for any of these items but did not have time to argue as I was already close to two hours late to meet my crew. I remove the dolly and blankets so that I could move the items I needed to move, replacing Them before returning the truck. I was repeatedly told that I would not be charged even though the seals are broken. The entire experience cost me well over $100 in labor and hours of my time it was very unsatisfactory.

Do not tell your customer that it's one flat rate. Then charge them an additional 400 dollars without telling them. James at Ithaca Uhaul told me that it was one flat rate and that I would be returning my truck to the ithaca location but then when I called about returning it, I was told that I owed over 600 dollars to uhaul for mileage fees, which nobody ever told me about. Nobody told me to bring the truck to a different location, as before I was checked out, it was verbally confirmed that I would be bringing it back to ithaca same day. Additionally I have been on hold with the ithaca store for 30 minutes without help. Terrible service. Retrain your managers to disclose the correct and all Information up front your customers before screwing them over.

I have rented from this location for several years. I have never had such slow service for picking up and dropping off. Things have slowly declined. Employees indicated software was main hold up, but finding someone on the return was difficult.

Get the location new computers!! I give the representative lots of credit for their patience in waiting what seemed like at least a minute for every step, but it was evident they were incredibly frustrated. It made everything take much longer than it should, and led to sizeable lines waiting for an available representative.

My reservation was never put in on Wed 9/25 the Rep only put it in as a quote. Causing me to have to get a smaller truck & a trailer, return the trailer to Ithaca & causing extra milage @ $18.00 on my return. Luckily I was even able to get a truck at all considering its the end of the month! Luckily the Rep Fri morning did everything she could to make it happen. The pick up location & equipment were fine. However I made a phone reservation three days before it was needed to then find out the morning of my rental date that the representative had only done a quote not a reservation, being the end of the month I was left with a 10' truck & having to rent a trailer, return the trailer at the pick up location the next day then return the truck on a one way as planned. This has caused extra trips with the truck + more milage, more $$ and headaches! I'm very dissatisfied with the original Rep. The one who staightened it out as best she could was great.
