I was told the dolly I rented could make it up stairs. It di not. Now my dresser, table bench and trunk are sitting outside in the yard and I still don't know how I am going to get them into my apt. But besides that, yeah, I would recommend uhaul.Sidnee T.
I returned the truck at about 8:39 AM on the due date with a quarter tank of gas, the same as I picked it up with. they charged me for an additional day, not logging the truck in until 330 that afternoon. They also charged me for gas claiming it was below a quarter tank. I took photos showing the truck had a quarter tank of gas and the photos are also times stamped at 8:39 that morning. In summary The truck was due to be returned at 1:43 PM. They had it for over five hours prior to the time it was due. Between this and them charging for extra gas I find this completely unacceptable and bordering on corruption. I have been in contact with the U-Haul representative and have emailed them my photographs that are time stamped. I will also be placing a hold on my credit card for this additional charge. Thus was the worst customer experience I have had ever. I waited an hour all together to pick up a rental that was reserved ahead of time and I was the only customer present. I was left standing at the counter for a half hour as the worst customer service rep ever if you could even call him that proceeded to look at me as I stood right in front of him but couldn't even greet me before he went outside to sit in a truck and good around with the guy from the shop as I just stood there waiting for him to come back after almost 30 min i had to go out and ask him to assist me but again he failed to acknowledge my request or existence the shop guy had to speak up and say it shouldn't be much longer. Well this took an hour to get the rental i paid for for 4 hrs yet by the time i left i only had 3. Then i get the emailed receipt and my $19.95 3 parental totals $75 I was charged for 4 gallons of gas even though I put gas in as when I rented it the truck had half a tank and I returned it after 25 miles of use not the 36 I was charged for not to mention a $10 fee for insurance I somehow agreed to even though there was no mention of this at pick up. Bottom line this representative is a liability. I hope to get some resolution to this asap.ARTHURGEORGE II B.

We were not able to use self pick-up. We had to wait in line 1/2 hour because the location is understaffed, AND I was charged for the safe plan protection when I had refused it online. Many of my friends have had the same complaint about this U-haul location. I will probably not rent from there again unless I can't figure anything else out.Lillian K.
Never again! What a horrible process. I was alternately treated like a small child or a common criminal. Counter person said, "you have to give me a phone number of someone I can reach right now." Neither I nor my husband are 17; we are not attached to our phones and don't watch them 24/7. Lines were long, customer service surly and disrespectful, and full of "high-tech" processes that just didn't work. I won't rent from U-Haul again. I'll use Ryder or Enterprise next time.Karl P.
I was very unhappy with my experience. I got to my pick up time early and did the prior check in online. I was suppose to get the truck at 9:30 (got there at 9:15) I didn't leave the store until 10:10am. There was only one person working the front desk. I stood there with three people in front of me and more and more customers behind me. Eventually, another worker, who seemed to be waiting for a late employee (Corey), came inside and called someone behind me up to the front. Once he finished taking care of that customer he left again. Then another person behind me came to the front to grab the keys for the pick up. Still nobody that worked there addressed the customers or to thank us for our Patience for waiting until the other worker showed up. Eventually, the late employee showed up. Although he was pleasant the entire system shut down. He didn't explain how to find my truck he said just use the keys but never said to look above the truck to find the numbers. We had to ask the floater employee for help and all he did was point us in the direction to look. As we found the truck he yelled down lose or throw out the visor or we will be charged (no visor was on our windows). The seat belts were uncomfortable, I barely was able to get it around me, my legs hurt because of the location of the break. As a first time customer I was not pleased to not be informed of rules I should have been made aware of: the type of gas the truck takes, ez-pass information, not allowed on parkways (all information I needed to ask myself. Alsobthe amount of money to fill a truck is ridiculous and that should also be discounted to customers and explained about how much they can expected to fill a tank. To top that off my equipment that I paid extra for was missing from the truck and the back of the truck was never properly shut so I made it hope with the door up. Just a complete unpleasant experience. I have no idea how long the other customers had to wait with the system being down. I tried to make a complaint but the number online didn't work either. A refresher in customer service is needed.Robyn S.
There was a dried red substance inside the truck. This was my first time using uhaul and I guess I shouldn't have trusted the papers. It was calculated that I went over 50 miles more than I went but without proof I was charged. Very unfortunate and lesson learned. I will be very hesitant to use uhaul again.Caitlin T.

I rented a 28 foot truck for 4 hours x drove 17 miles. I replaced 2 gallons of gas before returning it. When I picked up the truck it had a little less gas than was indicated on the check out sheet upon return I was told it was lower than it should be done I want to go put some in. I said it was actually higher than when I picked it up! "Did you take a picture of It? No I didn't. Well you should have." It does Not take 4 gallons ( plus the 2 gallons I replaced to drive that truck 17 miles!! That is why my experience was bad . Nickel and dimming the customers is no way to run a business! For some reason, my pre-registration didn't go through. The rental and return process at the store was quick and efficient, and the vehicle was great. The seat on the pickup was so low (I'm 5'7â€) and I didn't find a way to raise it, so I added padding to raise myself up.Bob C.
I had to drive 30 miles to pick up equipment. My reservation said I had 2 days with it!! No so you screwed me out of a day and charged me extra mileage. I paid for extra mileage of 15.00 because I had to drive equipment back to Elmira from Ithaca where I had to get it because it was unavailable in Elmira before I could make trip to Victor. Thanks for nothing and stealing my money!!! If I stole 15.00 from you I would go to jail!Dave S.
