Have the customer double check the mileage and gas BEFORE they leave and have them keep record of what they experience to eliminate any overage charges. I was personally charged for 4 extra miles than I actually went, AND, returned the truck with MORE gas in it than when we left . I didn't argue with it, but very much do want to make sure that this does not happen to anyone else because it is an unfair practice. Customers should know 100% what's going on and things should be transparent. They should be allowed to see for themselves exactly what the gas and mileage are at.

4-7pm 1 employee, out & in three people in line...took a while. Was told the utility dolly was in back of truck, to just break the seal and use. Got to loading location to find NO dolly. Didn't want to spend time or mileage to go back to location to pick up. Slightly back breaking, time consuming, and dissapointing. Location manager apologies and was willing to take off miles if we returned for it. Again, we only had a small window of time to complete the job. Otherwise, always easy to rent from Ithaca UHaul!

Equipment was clean, but had two small maintenance issues.One of the sockets for the pins that hold the tailgate closed needs a realignment, as the driver's side pin had to be forced into place. The circular to flat U-Haul connector adapter had a poor connection that, at first, made it appear as though the lighting connector on my vehicle was defective; the vehicle connector was Nissan dealer installed, new, and tested September 2017 and was used only once prior. After wiggling the U-haul adapter around a little while, it finally made connection. I am unsure, and not confident, that it provided proper operation throughout my rental. The adapter should be Inspected an tested for issues, then serviced, or replaced. Other than that, the rental experience was a good one.

Please increase the fleet during the summer months and also the number of staff to reduce wait time at the front desk. Please also start offering products (as part of the rental fee) to adjust the seating size in trucks. Lots of small ladies like me ALSO drive pickups and vans - not just big dudes.

Website and app are awful. We tried to pick up a truck before hours and could not get the site or app to let us continue after the phone verification. We wound up having to wait until the store opened. Dropping off the truck took more than 30 minutes because website froze three times during the drop off process, and the app froze twice, forcing us to start over each time.

When I arrived on Sunday 7/1/18 to pick up the 10 foot box truck that I had reserved on line for 11:30am I was told they didn't have one available. Further research indicated that the manager had changed my reservation to a van for noon and hadn't contacted me about either change. I was also told that they don't rent 10 foot box trucks for 2 days, even though I was able to reserve it on line. I was lucky to have a conscientious employee who had an unexpected 1 way 10 foot truck dropped off earlier that day. He completed my transaction and I was on my way with only a 15 minute delay while they solved my problem.

I had a rental for 9:00 And never left the building until 9:50 which cost.me.money as had a crew ready to Load my things. When I took truck back the two men were walking back.to building never said anything to.me when I went to door was locked. Gas gauge was wrong as when I put gas I gage never moved

Improve upon friendliness of customer service at this location. Also the wait time on hold making the reservation and getting transferred multiple times was was extremely aggravating and doesn’t present a good business philosophy to customers. The UHAUL phone tree is in need of much needed improvement. Thank you for listening.

I requested a discount as I picked up the truck at the end of the day on Saturday and returned it at the beginning of the day on Sunday. I was told that I needed to return the van by 930a Sunday as it was reserved by another customer for that time. This was absolutely a less than one day rental and a fill-in during a dead period for the truck, yet I was charged for a full day. The manager on site was a "Randy" and he wouldn't give me a straight answer about a discount, stringing me along as if there might be a chance for a discount. The next day (Sunday), he was too busy to talk with me. He's not a very presentable individual and would I would not recommend U-Haul for that reason alone. Paying full rate is proof that he, and perhaps U-Haul, are only interested in money and not in customer service. Boo corporate Amerika.

The cameras and flashing red lights under the cameras are very intrusive. There are really no high value items in the store so it begs the question as to why such overt security is required.

Extremely long wait time. It appears to be understaffed.A long line formed with only one person working the counter. I have encountered this problem several times in the past. U haul needs to work on improving the check in and out process to enable a more enjoyable rental experiance
