Van was covered in mud inside and out. Aldo smelled like cigarette smoke.
I get several calls coming into me the morning of my return. I'm still asleep after pulling off an all-nighter from this move. I call her back (Amanda, manager office) and the first thing she RUDELY says to me is ''when are you planning to return the truck? it has cost us $50 because you were not here by 10am for the drop off! That's the first thing out of her mouth. Horrible customer service right away. I proceeded to tell her that the truck was supposed to be picked up in Seymour and the time got changed for me needing to pick it up in the morning instead of the planned 1pm time in another town. I told the guy in Columbus I could not return the truck by 10:45am (although he had put 10am!) and could do so at Noon and he said it was fine. She sarcastically says, ''well, he didn't have this recorded in the system!'' I asked her, ''where then who's fault is that? Tell him not me.'' I then arrive to return the truck. She and her co-worker watch me come into the door. They just stare me down. No good morning, nothing. I asked her are you Amanda who I spoke with and she said yes. NEITHER were wearing a mask. Big mistake right there is you are running a business it is mandated by the Governor for your employees to be wearing a mask. ALSO - the guys at the Columbus location were NOT wearing a mask either. She walks me out to the car and goes via her questions with me on the truck and the last one was if anyone in the truck had COVID-19 or was exposed. I told her that was a pretty ironic question given she nor her co-worker at the desk were not wearing one. She just laughs it off. I never got a receipt on any of this so have no clue what my VISA card was billed so I would appreciate getting it. Thumbs down for your company. All of these situations did NOT need to happen - common courtesy, do the paperwork correctly, apologize to the customer that your truck had to be picked up at another location, say good morning to your customers when they walk into the door, and for gods sake, WEAR A MASK! Unless you have had COVID or have been with someone with COVID YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT ONE IS GOING VIA WITH THIS VIRUS.
I arrived during business hours after speaking with a site manager. He told me that there would be someone on site to help me. When I arrived the doors were locked and after knocking a woman came to the front door. She said that she could not help me and that she was going home. She said that I should do everything online, even though I was told I would have an employee to help me. This was also in the middle of the day during open hours, so I dont know why the doors were locked or why she was leaving. This made everything very difficult, and much harder. I will not ever use this location again.
The staff person was not in the office or at the building at our scheduled pick up time so we could not get in to pick up the key until she got there around 20 minutes past our pick up time. The dolly we reserved was not available at that location either and no one could confirm that we would be reimbursed for that.
Couldnt check in right and couldnt check out when i returned the vehicle and my bill was twice as much as i was quoted bc they screwed the mileage up. Will never rent again
Tried to use the self check out and it would not work. Chatted with U Haul for that so I was not late on drop off and everything was fine.
