After years of being a Uhaul customer without any issues this single rental has made me want to never be a Uhaul customer again. I was supposed to pick up a truck at 7 am in Morrisville VT. After speaking to 6 different uhaul employees and driving an extra 20 min in the wrong direction to get to a second uhaul location to get a truck, I finally had a set of keys for a truck that was parked in on all sides by trailers. I had to wait until 9 when the location opened to get assigned yet another vehicle that was covered with ice and had a broken windshield wiper that I had to fix. This wasted 2 hours of my time as well as had a crew waiting around to start work when the truck arrived, costing me money. When I dropped the vehicle off within business hours (1pm) there were no staff around and not enough cell service/poor wifi so I couldn't check the truck back in. From the time I reserved the truck there previous Sunday night to getting back in my car to leave that afternoon not a single part of the rental process happened without complication. My advice to people in this part of VT- don't try to pick up a truck outside of business hours, call the uhaul location the day before to make sure they have a vehicle set aside for you ( they certainly won't call you ahead to let you know), don't plan on the app working. Or maybe don't rent from Uhaul around here might be better advice

I was successful in efficiently moving my things from Massachusetts to Vermont on Tuesday and had about an hour in which to drop off the trailer at Premier Stone Landscape Supply. I called to make sure that someone would be there in 30-45 minutes. The person on the other end of the line said: "Sure. Someone should be there." When I arrived at the address, the entire property was dark - no lights on their spacious grounds or in any buildings. My GPS commanded me to turn left into a poorly plowed driveway that did have a "U-Haul" sign adjacent to the intersection. The building that the driveway was leading me to was black and lifeless. The snow in the poorly plowed driveway got to be too much for my car and the trailer and I got stuck. After attempting to self-rescue myself, I began to walk the property to find where any body might be hiding. I found nothing, though I did see some U-Haul trailers lined-up in a larger parking area that did have a better plowed, more direct roadway than the tiny diveway that my GPS had directed me to. While walking back towards my car wondering what I could do next, a large dump truck with sanding equipment drove in, apparently returning to Premier Stone Landscape Supply after completing its end-of-day jobs. The drive of the dump truck promised and did help me dig out my car and tow it out of the snow into the driveway that he spent 20 minutes clearing and sanding for me. Someone should have been at the drop-off location until closing time, especially after I called, and someone should have been available to answer the phone as I tried to call between 4:45 and 5:00 pm and beyond.
