I was happy with the truck. The condition, where it was located, how it ran, the easy of how the truck drove. I did the express pick up using my mobile phone. I was very skeptical it was going to work but was pleasantly surprised. The one little glitch I had was easily fixed by calling the owner. He talked me through it over the phone. I was mistakenly giving the wrong password for the lock on the back of the truck. He gave me the correct password...and away I went. I would recommend them to anyone. The truck, the ease of mobil pick up and the location, was easy to find, were all what I expected from Uhaul. Thanks Steve from J S Towing. Cindy L

When I arrived there was no one there. I called and got an answering machine. When he finally called back, he said he was out on an emergency, but the keys were in the visor. Nobody ever told me this, so I did not pick up the van until 9:00 AM. I dropped it off at 5:00 PM (not 6:00 PM, as stated in the invoice). Nevertheless, there was nobody there when I dropped the van off. I would definitely not, repeat not recommend this location, although I was pleased with the rest of the U-Haul experience. I am certain that this complaint will go into the big void, and there will be no corrective action.

This is a dirt road with NO parking. I could barely get my truck (which was the smallest truck possible) to fit behind a larger truck. There should be a legitimate parking lot, not the side entrance to a mechanic. Awful experience.

The pick up location is sketchy. I had to walk into a shed which was uncomfortable, the guy at the desk couldn't give me a receipt because his printer was broken, I didn't sign anything while I was there and the truck was not clean when I picked it up. There was a cigarette and ashes in the ashtray and candy wrappers in the cup holders. Someone's old bed spread was in the back of the truck and no one had swept it out.

I was lied to about the miles amount "I will cut you a deal and only charge your for 30miles" I got a bill for 62 miles I called and he said oh I cut u a break on the rate for the miles

My issue is not with the rental pick up location, it is with the uhaul roadside assistance. My uhaul (uhaul A) broke down only 20 minutes after picking it up (uhaul A broke down at approx 9:40 AM), and I immediately called the pick up location, and was able to change my rental to a new truck (uhaul B), and was able to go and pick it up at the rental location. In the meantime, I called uhaul roadside assistance to request that uhaul A be towed, as it would not start, and was essentially un-dravable. This was communicated to the service rep from uhaul roadside assistance, and was told that a tech would be sent out to inspect Uhaul A. I re-iterated that the uhaul was un-drivable, and strongly insisted that they send a tow truck to move the uhaul A. It was also communicated that the broken down uhaul was stopped in the middle of a sidestreet, and was partially blocking traffic for that road. I was assured that they would send somebody out to look at the truck. The first visit from a tech was at noon. This tech showed up in a hummer (clearly not a tow truck) and noticed that the battery of uhaul A was dead. He was told that the uhaul was experiencing engine trouble, so he did not bring jumper cables. Luckily I had jumper cables in one of my other cars, and lent them to the tech. After attempting to jump uhaul A, it would still not turn over. He noticed that the fuel gauge of uhaul A was at a quarter tank (this is standard for just picking up a uhaul from the rental location) and suspected that uhaul A may have just run out of gas as I was backing up the driveway, and that the issue may be a broken gas gauge. The tech then informed me that he didn't have a jerry can, so he would have to go to the gas station and get one. He then asked me where the nearest gas station was, so I looked on my phone and found one in 20 seconds. An hour goes by (it is now ~1:30 PM), and he returns with a filled jerry can and fills the uhaul gas tank another 2 gallons. He again borrows my jumper cables, and uhaul A does not start, and suspects that it is the fuel pump itself. He then informs me that we will need a tow truck (a conclusion I had reached, and told uhaul a whole ~3 hours earlier). He gives this information to uhaul roadside assistance. He then asks if we have any ropes or straps to move the uhaul A (remember that it is still broken down in the middle of the road). I say I don't, and think to myself that the tech should probably have been a little bit prepared to help out, at this point he didn't come with 1) jumper cables 2)jerry can 3) ropes/straps. All the while, uhaul roadside assistance reps are calling me and making sure that the tech has made contact, and is working to solve the problem, this is appreciated. After the tech leaves, uhaul roadside assistance calls me and tells me that they are requesting a tow truck. They also ask if I will need a replacement uhaul. I inform them that though I appreciate their help, I was
