I was given the option to check in via the app, but the gas station attendant/manager made me go though the entire check in process twice. He also had few details of my reservation, I.e. my insurance preference and predicted mileage.ALISONMARY K.
The location's service(howaed beach) was not an issue. Over all I would give the U-hual system a below average. I made a reservation for a location(bushwick) near me 2 weeks in advance, received confirmation of my rental and planned accordingly. On the day of my move i went to pick up my rental. There were vans and trucks in the lot, the attendant confirmed my reservation but simply said "nothing for you". Apparently my rental was not present. I was told I should call Uhaul's (national number?). After calling, wait times, a disconnection, another call, anorher rep had difficulty connecting to "shceduling", wait times, etc. I was located for my rental. I was told I would be offered the "special" service to keep the vehicle for 24 hours for the same price(turned out that the one price I already was paying was for 24 hours not for a 4 hr window I had been lead to believe. So no consolation there.) I was also given a $50 consolation amount which was half of the additional charges it cost me to get to and from the new rental location nor the additional mileage and time the whole mix up added to my move. I would like at the very least to be compensated for ALL the additional costs Uhaul's organizational short comings added to my move. They have benefitted profit wise from their mistake which leaves me distrustful this "mix-up" is not incentivised to happen regularly for their profit/win. Over All the I GIVE UHAL A BELOW AVERAGE rating.Kevin K.

The customer should be urged to do an advanced online check in to save time and i think you even had the choice of contactless pick up but otherwise it was a easy and great experience and just blocks from my home so all was good..thanks JCJames C.

When I first arrived to pick up the truck, the representative originally refused to assist me and told me to complete my reservation online on an app. After I told him I was not doing so, he then decided to assist me as normal inside the business. Once I return the vehicle, he then tried to accuse me of not cleaning out the back of the van. Keep in mind the only item that I moved was an exercise bike, so whatever dirt Was in the back of the van, was there when I received it. I was not aware that needed to be checked prior to leaving the premises. Overall he was not very pleasant to deal with.Jared D.

i've rented a van three times now in the past two months from this location. There are discrepencies between each rental regarding what I was charged. from mileage to the CDW charge, it varies each time. This last time I was grossly overcharged. the mileage varied from the past two rentals by .20 more per gallon. in addition, the CDW charge was $15 the first time we rented, $25 the second time, and this past rental we were charged $50. We also were always charged 19.95/day and this past time we were charged $39.90.gregory H.

The location is a gas station with one employee doing two jobs. Pumping gas and rentals it took 1 1/2 hours to get my rental. Called customer service at 800gouhaul was on hold for 1/2 an hour waiting to speak to supervisor. Got disgusted and hung upJose R.
