My experience with this location was horrible. It started off wrong as the representative who initially helped me was a bit agitated. I ended up needing the truck for longer than expected, I called and told it was okay to keep it for a few additional hours. Upon returning the vehicle I noticed my card was overcharged by $45 dollars. I called several times and I was finally able to speak to someone who initiated a refund in which I still haven’t received. Oh and let’s not forget there was absolutely nothing done to accommodate me for their mishap. Needless to say they’ve lost a loyal customer as I typically rent through Uhaul a few times a year.

I would think about changing the layout of the office parking area & entrance gate. Outside lot is only a single hdcp spot, and driving through gate is on terrible incline. Not good for dragging trailers in & out. Very helpful people at this location, I’ll be back

The self return is pain I will not be renting from Uhaul again. You want to charge me $20 to return a truck after hour or have to take all those pictures. If I return it during hour you would still have to check the truck out any way.

The running lights were not working. I found this out when the Texas State Police pulled me over. I had to drive with my emergency flashers on for hundreds of miles. I returned the trailer on schedule then got a call from the location asking if I returned the trailer and if so, when. I then received a copy of the invoice that included charges for the insurance coverage that I denied at the time that I picked up the trailer. Unfortunately, U-Haul is the only game in town so I have to just get used to this level of service.

I paid for the usage of (1) Dolly and it was NOT on the truck upon my truck rental, which caused much stressed on my children hauling everything to my 2nd floor Condo. Then, I received a rude call from Rebecca in the Hoffman Estates location stating that I will be charged $200.00 for (2) Dollies that was not returned. The employee at this location told me that I had “until closing ” to return the rental truck and if I returned it after that, then I would be charged a fee. We returned our rental at 12:20pm, 20 minutes after it was apparently due. The drop-off location’s hours of operation that day were 10am-4:30pm. Due to the miscommunication, I thought I was returning my rental 4 hours early and not 20 minutes late, resulting in an extra charge of $57! I’m extremely disappointed that after looking over my rental documents to confirm my drop-off that the employee at the drop-off location didn’t see fit to mention to me that I would be getting an additional charge for such a trivial delay.

I had a lot of issues with this location. I made 2 calls into customer service regarding my experience. I was treated very rudely during my pickup and drop off for the truck and was very disappointed. I really hope my complaints did not fall blind and something will be done about this. I have my family have always rented from UHaul and have never had an experience like this before. Please assist with some form of compensation for the very unexpected treatment from your staff.

Although, i have returned the van on time. I was charged unnecessarily for an extra day just because I didnt check in online. What if someone dont have data in thier phone or if they dont know how to check in online. I even called customer service and informed about the return, still I got an invoice with extra charge.

More workers spent over 45 min in line to pick up the rental

I reserved a truck for Saturday morning. There was only one person working so I had to wait in line 45 minutes. They also said our truck was at 3/4 a tank but it was less than that. We returned the truck at what we got it at and got charged $20 in fees for gas.

The overall experience was mediocre. I asked if the truck Gaga’s a lock on the roll up door and was told no so I purchased a lock only to find one on the roll up door. The original request I had for date of pick up and time was changed last minute and I was told my choice was a “preference.” This makes no since because if I didn’t absolutely need my request then why would I make it for my reservation. The only positive thing I can say is that when I called to fix my request, the scheduling individual got me as close as possible to my request but the fix was still an inconvenience. Overall, I was not pleased with my experience.
